I rented one, often times two units from ** in ********** ** for close to 15 years. On or about 10/10/24 I attempted to move out of both units. I paid movers $1,700. for this move. When I arrived at PS, I found the elevator was broken (according to the front office staff it had been since July) I had not been notified. My furniture is very large and heavy and my movers were unable to bring a lot of my furniture down the stairs. Advertised a $1 for first month never was given the first month for a dollar paid almost $1,000 dollars every month for a $400 unit made a report about the overcharge to ****************. I spoke with one of P.S. representatives was told that it was out of there scope. My bank closed my banking account due to the amount of $5,000 being overcharged and was told to resolve with public storage. This building has a major rat infestation. We found rats living inside our unit, our things were covered in rat f**** and urine. Unsanitary, health hazard. They knew about this issue and did nothing to correct this. Completely negligent and irresponsible. Management wants us to clean our unit (which is hazardous) and wants to continue to collect payment.

If there was a no star option I would choose that. My review is regarding the ***********. , ******* , ***, location only. I'll start off with beware to anyone who is considering renting a storage unit here because what you think your monthly rate to pay is will escalate higher with always an excuse of " they raise the fee according to market value", then followed by a "it's in the contract you signed". I tried leasing a storage unit on the third floor to prepare for my move. Placed my work clothes, shoes and some smaller items in the unit and it quickly turned into a nightmare. The elevators have been down for four days now. Can't access the unit because the staircase doesn't have door handles to any of the upper levels. My move has been prolonged because no one has a time-line regarding the repairs. I've left numerous messages by phone, email, and no one has bothered to respond to any correspondence. I was initially drawn to their facility in *********, ** due to its perfect 4.9-star rating on ******, which seemed to indicate excellent customer service and a reliable ********************** solution. However, my experience with Public Storage was awful.After signing up online and paying the first month's rent, I arrived at the facility to set up my unit. bought a unit on auction drove 1.5hrs to the facility to pick up the items when i opened the door everything had been stolen out of the ********* this point the auction has been canceled i have received a refund from the auction company but not from the facility. the facility is not answering the phone nor are they calling back. i do not recommend public storage anywhere to anyone i certainly will never do any business with this company anywhere ever again

THIS THE WORST STORAGE EVER!! I moved out 10/16/24. For the last month I've been going in taking some of my things out. All to find rat p*** over everything. They came out to put rat poison down in the unit. The rats had p*** and urine on all of my belongings and chewed up a lot of my things. I asked the manager due I get a prorated balance back, and the answer was no. They only prorate when you move in. So I will be making an insurance claim for my damages. I wouldn't recommend.
