I rented a storage unit at a public storage and signed a contract. Its been three days and I still didnt got access to my unit or there is no one I can speak with. I either need a refund or tell me how to get in touch with a person.
The worst place that Ive ever rented a unit and parking space at. They give you a deal on first month then increase the price of your unit then charge you for something they made up each month. Then they charge you for incorrect number from your account but took the funds out my account then wanna say my vehicle is going to auction when Ive paid it up for months. This place is criminal. They have a call center in ***** where people misquote you prices that sound too good to be true and sign you up. Then the next month they hit you with a bill $100 more. Good luck trying to get through to ***************** as it took 6 calls to their office and 6 different phone numbers before I got them. Mold Damage and Ongoing Safety Hazards, No Accountability I rented a climate-controlled unit at this Public Storage location for approximately one year. When I visited a month ago, I discovered the climate control system had failed, and several of my stored items were covered in mold. I rented there about 2 yrs , after 6 months the rent increased by $50 , then a few months ago the bill went up by $100 , I go online to pay and there it is ,$355 , I tried repeatedly to contact someone , called , left messages , chat , email , in person, I never received any response , by this time I decided I had to move out. Regarding Public Storage, if you get behind on rent, they won't work with you. They'll auction your unit off for a fraction of what the rent is, and it's be more profitable if they worked with customers and let them pay as they can rather than to auction the unit off (for a fraction of the rent), then after they do so, the unit will probably sit empty for at least a month (or more), bringing in no money at all. Two separate failures here before I ever got to move a single box in.Note: this is for the ****************************************************First, their website lists "property hours" as 6AM10PM with zero indication that this only refers to gate/unit access the office itself is staffed a tiny fraction of that window (weekends especially). Watch out for this place, you will make a reservation for the second month free but then when you are put on the spot with nowhere else to go, they'll claim that the free promotion for the second month free expires, knowingly that I am running out of time and money to auction off my car when I don't have the money. I see what they did there. They Lied to me and took away a customers right to a deal that was promised for 3 MONTHS! Then finally I get over there with the promotion still available to others but me. BUYER BEWARE The price gouging is unbelievable. I will never and I repeat never move into a public storage unit ever again in life. The way the payment went up is unreal. Starting at. $166 to $246 in a matter of a month or two is crazy. In addition, upon moving out of the unit on the 5th of the month they want to charge me for a full months rent of $246. They stated that they dont prorate however they moved me in at a prorated rate. A complete rip off.
