Trying to justify frequent, over the edge, unreasonable monthly rental fees is impossible. A unit size and specifications as the unit being rented is approximately $4500 - $4900 yearly. After several years renting my yearly cost is approximately $9500 ******* yearly. An increase of more than $50.00 per month has been recently added. This increase is added two -three times yearly and its amount is criminal in my opinion as it increases more than double at times. After being with Public storage for a couple of years, they start punishing you for being a consistent customer and paying on time, by raising your rent because they don't feel they're getting enough money out of you. I started with a promotion, and I knew my rent would increase.. but after calling because it's being raised for the 3rd time in a couple months by $30, they advised me that my rent amount is not "locked" and can be (and will be) raised when they feel they aren't getting enough money from you. WARNING This company has no problem raising your rent just a few months after youve moved in. I paid the full rate from the startthere was no discount or promotional pricing, yet they significantly hiked my monthly payment. When I called, they said its in the rental agreement to choose their price whenever they want to change it. They know once your belongings are in storage, moving is a huge hassle, so they take advantage of it. Extremely disappointing business practice. ?????Avoid this Public Storage location.Nobody works on-site, nobody answers the phone, and youre constantly told that a manager will call you backbut they never do. If you drive in and lose your access code, you can actually end up locked inside and may even be charged for the inconvenience.I was sold on a promotional rate of around $60 per month, only to see it jump to over $100 shortly afterward. It's a shame you can't leave less then 1 star, because the Public Storage at ********************** is pathetic. Have been a customer for several years, and now it's time to move on.This location has 2 elevators, and I can't remember the last time both have worked. When the elevator is broken its down for months. Im filing a complaint against Public Storage regarding extensive property damage caused by a rodent infestation at the ************************** location & the companys failure to properly address the issue. Public Storage is perhaps one of the absolute worst companies in the entire country to deal with. I am a designer and I was storing three storage units full of inventory for clients and customers and for future usage. I wrapped everything carefully and checked on it regularly. Between one of my visits, something happened where one of my smaller units became infested with rat and mice urine and f**** and they had nested inside of my very expensive Restoration Hardware sofa.
