I rented a large unit for several months. I starting moving out at the end of May and thought I would be out in June. I paid June rent on June 1. I decided to drive over and realized I could clean out unit on the first. I thought that I could get a refund of my $148 rent with maybe a week penalty for late notice or at worst 2 week, ***** inspected the unit. Asked me if I was sure I wanted to close out the account. had a storage unit and i lost over $***** of stuff and the insurance company says it is fungal damage and not water damage when there was black mold all over our stuff and there was a water line on the dry wall. if its fungal damage we only get $250 with $100 deductible and if it is water damage we would get $***** for the damage. we sent all the photos of the damage and they said its fungal not water damage. we showed proof where the water is coming from. we would like the ***** dollars that we lost of our stuff and keepsak... read more

My isssue is navigation with the Public Storage App. The time it took to make my payment and not able to contact anyone to troubleshoot my issue. The App was buffering to much, wouldn't allow me to add routing and account number nor debit card. Please don't increase my storage payments.

Worst business practices I've ever seen. Started out paying $77. Then three months later it's raised to $107. Now I just got a notice they're raising it again to $148. When you complain they just say they can raise it whenever they want. Currently looking for a new place. Will NEVER rent from them again. No integrity or honesty. Just greed.

I said I wanted a 5 x 10 unit in 1-2 weeks and wanted to get rates, availability, etc. She said the have some 5x10s. There is never anyone working that will answer questions. I tried to move out of my unit and was not aware of how to so I visited the ************ location in person on the first. To my surprise no one was there or able to answer my questions. I had to figure out on my own how to move out or cancel my unit. Public storage is ****** ME, I paid bill for May minus $35.72! They added fees I dont know where from approximately $200 over. I Continuously call, NO ONE CALLS BACK, yet they threatened me with LOCK IN . Its FESTED WITH MICE, things getting messed up. Im 63 years old , just had surgery experiencing home care . 1. They gradually raised my rent without letting me know. By the time I was moving out it was $70 more than when I initially moved in.2. I moved 99% of my stuff out on the last day of the month and the first day of the month starts the new billing cycle so they are charging me a whole month to keep my empty unit. INSANE! Public Storage located in ************************ has had 2 Price Increases in 1-year. From $100/June 7, 2025; $166/3 months later and now $198 notification on June 1, 2026. NO REASON given at all. Places do exist that maintain a quoted price for 1 year. I'd suggest doing your homework before signing on with Public Storage.
