Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Very striking. You did feel like you stepped back in time. Our server was attentive and courteous. Both my wife and I had fish dishes, Salmon & Mahi Mahi which was the special for the evening. The latter was prepared well and was uniquely tasteful. But I wouldn't say it was memorable. This was a much anticipated evening. Being a Saturday, Valentine's and such we were prepared to enjoy what had been reading the reviews about. We hadn't expected to walk 2 blocks ( No Valet Parking) but once we arrived we were greeted, our reservation secured and promptly seated. Much better. It was great and beautiful and delicious except the server repeatedly rolled her eyes at our lingering presence there and our desire for desert. It was vday weekend and there were still other customers there but she was clearly ready to go. Everything else was perfect but it's not much fun feeling rushed especially when your check is high as ours was.
Drinks and dinner were fabulous. Will definitely be back. Parking is tight. Leave time to find a spot in the neighborhood

We like to stay close to home and dine but we like to get dressed up in our finest and have a romantic dinner. Love the idea of bringing back upscale more formal atmosphere. They are few and far between these days. Service was excellent! Food was wonderful! Pricing was reasonable. We like to sit and enjoy for a bit after our meal with desert and after dinner drinks.
