I unfortunately had the same experience as Laura W. EMS had to knock down my 90 year old mother's door during an emergency. I called The Front Door the next day. It has now been 3 weeks and my mother still has no door. In fact, the door has not even been made. My impression is that this is generally a good company - just look at all of the positive reviews. However, they don't seem to be in any hurry to accommodate your time frame, no matter what the circumstances. If time is not an issue, I suspect they would be great.

It sounds like you had made an initial call to us 3 weeks ago, but you placed the order and provided the deposit to us last Wednesday, February 1st. So as of today, it has been 6 days (4 business days) since the order was placed, and our average turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. OMG, I'm so pleased with my new door and sidelights. I had ordered 2 times from Lowe's and every time (after 6-8 weeks each), the door came in damaged. So, we decided to go to The Front Door Company and we finally got our new door yesterday. it is beautiful and greatly enhances our entryway and overall appeal of our home. I came into the showroom in early November and chose a door. I made it very clear to the salesman Thomas that this was part of a larger remodel and I was hosting Christmas at my house and it needed to be done by then. He gave me a quote and I left. I called the day after to make the payment 11/9 and told him the only way I will make the payment and use his company is if he can promise me that it will be installed by Christmas, or I will have to hire someone else. Beautiful door but terrible service. Our door was manufactured incorrectly, the replacement was delayed almost 3 weeks beyond the estimated date, then the day of delivery they didn't arrive until almost 3 hours after when they said they would arrive. Never at any point was communication for these issues initiated by the front door co....we had to call them. 10 weeks later the door looks nice. After being told that no compensation would be made, they did send us an email informing us they would refund our delivery fee.
From the sales process with Clay, to our door being measured to the installation, the customer service was stellar. They have an excellent selection and prices are reasonable. I would recommend the Front Door Company to anyone. Our door looks incredible and was a beautiful upgrade to our home!
They have a great selection and take time to educate you on the different options. Clay was extremely helpful. The installation was done well and on time. Our new door looks great.

We went to peruse the front door selection...they didn't have much outside of wood or fiberglass that looks like wood doors. Not what we wanted. But that's not why they got the low rating. They got the low rating because despite giving a sales person my contact information in ALL CAPS he still inputted my name wrong. No big deal, except now I'm getting all sorts of credit card offers and restaurant coupons with the misspelled name. The Front Door Company has great reviews, so I chose them and it was a wonderful experience. The selection process was easy as I knew what I wanted and the choices were plentiful. Very informed and helpful staff to assist you in your selection. Nice looking doors are available at many places, but I was after quality installation skills as my framework on one door was badly rotted out and I have security screen doors that I wanted to stay intact.
