I'm seeing all the positive reviews and I'm finding it hard to reconcile my experience with this company. We paid about $2000 for a new door + installation. We had an issue with the looks of the door from day one and called to see what could be done about it. It's been over a month and we continue to get passed around or ignored. Their standard argument is that wood is a natural product and sometimes doesn't look that great. Lance said that he "should have warned me upfront." I'm a tad CRAZY when selecting new items for my home. It's so....permanent. Like a marriage. You spend a lot of time searching and you need to be able to love whatever you select. I called and emailed Mark numerous times, visited Clay, Mark and Lance in the showroom. Made a last minute tweak. And, finally a purchase. Be very careful about how an existing door takes stain. Our front door and 2 side panels were getting pretty weathered and based on the good reviews we chose this company. The office was professional and Clay came when scheduled and worked hard and long. We asked that the stain be the same as existing, which was between the Sienna and Cinnamon colors in the gallery. Marc at The Front Door Company was great. He not only helped advise and select the right door for our remodel, but kept me informed of progress so we could coordinate scheduling with our contractor. When there was an issue of fit with the threshold once installed, he had his service team come right out and make it perfect. The door makes our house look 100% better and the service was outstanding.
Fantastic company to do business with. I absolutely LOVE my new front door; brings a smile to my face every time I see it. I wrote a review for the San Antonio location and I wanted to write one for the Austin location as well since I was helped by both stores. I called the Austin store and spoke to Clay , he found the exact door I wanted. He provided excellent customer service and emailed me a picture of the door to make sure it was the same door I wanted. He explained everything from purchasing the door to the installation. I recently chose a fiberglass door (with ironwork between rain glass). I wanted extra security features, an entirely new frame, and I also requested that a storm door I purchased elsewhere be installed at the same time. The appearance and functionality far exceeded my expectations. Joseph's installation was top-notch; perfect fit, no mess, and no damage to my interior or exterior walls (or my wood floors abutting the threshold). I'm so satisfied, I'm already saving up for a new back door...
Simply the best. If you're looking for a new door and have come across these guys, stop looking around and just do it. I worked mainly with 3 different people throughout the process - Trey, Mark, and Lance. They were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The process could not have been any easier or more straightforward. The only downside was having to wait 6ish weeks for our door to come in. That said, given how nice the door looks and feels, it was absolutely worth it.
What a pleasure to do business with....personalized, high quality, fair, dependable and honest. I didn't think groups like this still existed. Mark our salesman knew his stuff and provided great consultation during the sales process. Lance the man that installed the door was punctual and a real pro. Oh yes, the door is beautiful too. These guys get my top recommendation.
