This is THE most inefficient company I have ever seen. They owned me a $200 check from LAST YEAR and promised to send it to me. Seven months have passed during which I sent numerous emails asking about the check, and got only 2 useless replies. How can they treat anyone like this? It looks like they have decided to ignore my emails and calls until I forget about the $200 that I deserve. Unbelievable. Read the bad reviews and be warned!!!
I would leave zero stars if I could. I went to see an apartment twice and was told the unit was a certain amount per month. After I applied for the apartment and gave all of my information (SSN, etc) I was told the apartment was actually $100/mo than advertised. At this point I turned down other apartments and wasted weeks of valuable time. When I asked if they would honor the price that was advertised, I was told no. Seemed very sneaky. I would have paid that $100 more had that been advertised to me in the first place. Wast... read more
I still live in a building managed by this company, so I'll update this post if my experience changes. Right now I could not think more poorly of this management company. I live in one of their buildings in Boston's South End, which is a very expensive place to live. My rent is astronomical. What do I get for the premium beyond the proximity to trendy restaurants? A management company that ignores emails and security concerns. First, there is no doorman in my building. Residents need either a physical key or a door code ... read more

The rent is sort of low for the area. There is a reason. I lived there for 10 years. At the beginning they were okay. Not sure if management changed, but the maintenance slipped over the years. Brown smelly water leaked from a crack in the ceiling. Instead of going in and checking for mold, fixing whatever caused the leak, they patched and painted. So it recurred- twice. Brown, smelly sludge backed up into the sink and overflowed onto the floor. They could not explain where it came from. There were roaches and mice, and they... read more
I used to live in the apartment of the Hamilton Company for half a year. Then I moved to another city and I transferred the lease to a new tenant. After I submit all the materials they need also a check for application fee, they promised to contact me a few days later. However I waited for a week and there was no one ever called or emailed me. So I went to their office, they told me that there should be no problem about sublease, and I can just left the key to the new tenant. So, I did what they told me. BUT, after the new t... read more
I have been very impressed with how quickly Alexa responds to my maintenance-related emails, often sending the super over the same day to resolve issues! I am so grateful for this! As this is an older building, we did experience problems such as roaches and mice in the past year (thus the less than perfect rating). However, we were able to eventually resolve these issues through contacting maintenance, which again, in my experience is very quick and kind. Overall, I am very pleased with this property, and it's a great deal f... read more
Stay away from any property managed by this company. My brother and I moved into one of the their apartments in Auburndale, Woodlands Apartments. From day one, the appliances and electrical power through the apartment started to die off. The doors, after a few days of use, started coming apart. The bathroom started catching mold within days, even if cleaning it back to back, top down. The floor boards started to separate and coming off the ground as well. Ever since we started experiencing issues, I've contacted the property... read more
1. Realtors enter your apartment at least once every other day beginning the day after you decide not to resign your lease- and FYI, Hamilton Co will increase your rent rate at least $100 per year even though many units remain empty despite what they say. 2. Realtors often enter WITHOUT any notice and often times WITHOUT even knocking! 3. When realtors do give notice (which they claim they are not required to do?!?!?!), they enter the unit 30-60 minutes late. One time I was expecting a 1pm showing, but no one showed up so I ... read more
