Super shady company. My new loan was sold to them in January 2022, and I called them on February 1, the first day they were servicing the loan, to get my account number so I could make a payment. They told me I wasn't in their system yet and to wait until they on-boarded me and sent me all the information (and in the 23 years I've been paying mortgages on my multiple houses, I've never once missed a payment). Terrible. Completely failed in the payment of my property taxes causing my property to go into a tax sale at no fault of mine. Dozens of calls, an enormous amount of time spent over the course of weeks and no one can seem to provide any updates on the status of my "research request", no information as to the status of their attempt to pay the taxes, no rationale provided as to why the taxes are not being paid, and no concern around the personal or legal implications that we are now facing as a result of their delinquency. This has been the worst experience. It seems that no one in this office knows what they’re doing. I have been handed the short straw and because their office is so unprofessional. As soon as I am able I will never be with this company again.
My daughter has been trying to get a payoff amount to her title company for the sale of her house for weeks and weeks. The employees are rude and tell her it is not their problem. The payoff portal blocks the title company's request. This company is preventing her from selling her house as the sale can't close without this information.
The first time I reached out to Kristi Schleicher, she cleared the path to receive COVID Mortgage assistance.<br /> The second time, I got my mortgage company (TMS) their homeowners insurance after 3 tries.<br /> Both requests were done within hours!
The Money Source has handled our loan for only about a year and they have caused my credit score to be reduced by 300 points because we cant get anybody to fix a problem that they caused. Its really simple, TMS paid our Hazard Insurance which they shouldnt have and then they tell us that we are late! They have called my cell phone everyday for a month and NOBODY on the other side has been able to do ANYTHING about the phone calls OR reversing the credit report. My relationship with TMS began when they bought my mortgage from the original lender in 2020. The first few months went fine, then in 2021 they told me my escrow had a surplus, so they wrote me a check and dropped my monthly payments. I called to confirm if this was correct, as I didn't see how that was possible. I asked for a review of my escrow and they agreed, but reassured me "we don't make mistakes like that." Applied for homestead exemption 1/5/22 and faxed info to the money source the same day. I am waiting for them to adjust my mortgage payment to reflect a decrease in taxes. I called today 2/2/22 and the tax dept. could not find the homestead exemption at first. Then the representative said it had not been adjusted because I had not asked TMS to adjust it. Seriously? So far, no good as pertains to accessing my account. Entered my data twice, with the same e-mail address, and never received a confirmation to enable my account access. Plus, calling TMS is not easy either. We'll see going forward, but to date it's not been an easy, much less enjoyable, experience.
