This company phone is turned off their automated payment system after hours so you can’t make a payment. This forces record of a late payment each month as you can’t pay it on the 1st of the month. So frustrating. Their customer service department will hound, harass you if you have late payment. We are retired and on a fixed income. They really don’t care about anyone or anything other than profit. We are looking forward to getting out from under this company’s thumb!
Horrible, wish could go through a differnet company. Their website is not user friendly. Contstantly threatened to forclose me, when like 2 days late. They don't take debit or credit cards. One month I made a payment and the money cleared my account but TMS said I never paid it. so contacted the bank and they were like the took the money. A few days later it was returned and TMS said my bank denied it. Three times in past 9 months the money source has overdrawn my bank account by drawing out payment of twice a the amount, due. Causing over draft and late payment on accounts due to NSFs First time mistakes were me money refunded, unhappy customer TMS no apology no Custer service, I had to prove where Tms got the money Also during this time TMS has increased my monthly payment to cover a short fall in escrow, why,and how did TMS miscalculated the money needed to cover my escrow. Our mortgage was through The Money Source and they double charged us for our mortgage. When we called to dispute the charges they told us to email their account to get refunded. The email account then autoreplied to us saying that we needed to call them...<br /><br /> THEN when I called back they said they put the other payment towards our principal and they had sold our mortgage to another company so they could no longer help us. The Money Source held my newly refinanced mortgage for less than 1 month and during that time they failed to pay my new homeowners insurance (I ended up paying out of pocket) and they deducted nearly $3,000 from my escrow account to pay property taxes that were not due (the disbursement supposedly occurred 6 weeks ago). The county I live in never accepted this payment, but The Money Source did not deposit my money back into my account and instead they are trying to pass the ball on to my new servicer. If I could give a minus rating, I would. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Happinest my A**! Non-responsive, hour-long telephone wait times and then “magical” disconnections. TMS is refusing to provide me a payoff on my loan. Sadly, I’ve had to resort to filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (consumerfinance.gov) (YOU’RE WELCOME) as well as hire an attorney to assist. I wish there was a No stars option. Worst experience ever! Right before our mortgage was bought out by The Money Source there was an escrow analysis done and due to an increase in insurance mid year there was a shortage. Our old mortgage company recalculated the escrow and gave us a new amount to pay escrow month. Cool. The Money Source has had my loan for about 1 year now. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have had so many problems with this mortgage since it was bought by them. Hard to believe their reviews are this high. The 5 star reviews don't appear authentic. First, when they bought my loan, it took them 3 months "to process" the loan so they couldn't provide me any info about payments, tax payments out of escrow, etc. Moreover, they didn’t pay my 1st installment of property taxes out of escrow.
