Web site and system suck. I tried to set up auto-pay, but was provided a message I needed Customer Service assistance - before I even attempted to set it up! When I changed to my "real" email, the system logged me off; tried to log in, got "email not verified". I have more to say.
After having my mortgage sold to this company I called to get information. The rep told me to call back another day. On the day he told me to call back they still were not able to give me the info I needed, like where to send my payment. <br /> I have called them more than once to gather info and the rep has not been able to answer my questions. Terrible support. My loan was transferred here, and I received almost no communication. The one deadline I was given for having access to my online account was missed, and I had to call three times before I was given an updated deadline for account access, which was missed by another week. I had to get special circumstances figured out because my account wasn't ready before my payment was due. I wish I had control over who collected payment for my mortgage, because I would never have agreed to this.
New customer. UI is good ... just all the backend fails with everything you try to do online. Apparently, they didn't want to invest in a real software development team. Just made a payment, got confirmation of success ... then it's not registering in my payments and it's telling me again to pay it. ESCROW SHORTAGE: It seems this is a common theme across multiple websites I've been to regarding T.MS. I received an email notification that my escrow account was short by close to 2k. I was shocked by this and called them immediately. I spent an hour on the phone with a representative who was very nice but could not explain to me why. Hello my loan got transferred to this company and they already te!ling me my escrow is short and they did not pay my homeowners insurance on time so that elapsed and he to be reinstated. Claiming they did not have the right address for them and they never received the bill. So every year my escrow will probably be short and have to pay extra every year .
I’ve had my mortgage with TMS since 2017. They were great until we had a total loss. Our house burnt down February 20, 2021. I made contact with them shortly after. Every time I call I get told something different from someone different. They’ve had my blue prints since July and I’m still waiting on them to release funds. Our mortgage was transferred to the Money Source. We may lose all of our retirement because of it. We mortgaged our home and 6 acres. Per our retirement plans we planned to sell half of the property. We have a contract to sell half but cant do so until the Money Source signs off on our subdivision plat and a partial release of lien. TMS made a mistake causing an overdraft in our checking account. We repeatedly asked them to reimburse us for the resulting fees our bank charged us. It was a frustrating process, but one shining light was Marques, who was professional and responsive, even when delivering news we didn’t want. We eventually got connected with Kristi Schleicher who could not have handled our situation any better. She emphasizes the “service” part of customer service.
