I am so beyond frustrated with this company. I've only had to make two payments with them and both times it was so complicated and inefficient that I'm ready to refinance elsewhere. I set up the payment, get the confirmation email and then...nothing. I wait around all day with my mortgage just hanging out in my account and it never processes. And then, there is nowhere to enter your confirmation number to see if it processed. So I can try to pay again and potentially, accidentally make an extra payment that I can't afford or... read more
Until 8 months ago I'd had no trouble from Money Source. can't say that any more. in the past 13 months they've been so good every time the county asked for property taxes Money Source granted it. Too bad they granted the transfer of way over $4,000 dollars from escrow for an annual $2,100 in property tax. The county shows greed and Money Source shows stupidity. I have never been so confused & frustrated in my whole life. I spoke W/ a rep. explained that my email had changed. she said ok. Then went to access acct. Reset password using My current Email. Was again told wrong user name or password!!!!!!! I give up never have i experienced such frustration!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The customer care I have experienced has been for the most part terrible. A payment came out unauthorized and it has been absolutely exhausting trying to get my money back. We are caught up months into advance and they still have no answers for me. When the economy is the way it is and a payment comes out unknowingly it can put a family in a financial bind and it has done that for me. I wasn't connected to a supervisor until a week had passed from this unauthorized payment. It was their error and nothing has been done.
Absolutely terrible to work with. They bought our loan out in November and we sold the house in December and have yet to close on the house because they will not send the correct release information for our loan ---- we have a CASH buyer and thankfully they have been great waiting but after 5 months this is ridiculous.
TMS transferred the servicing of my loan to Fifth Third bank. Fifth Third imposed escrow on my loan and demanded that I get flood insurance. It cost me $1,300 to have a civil engineer certify that my house was higher than the flood zone. Apparently banks can do this, ask for flood insurance, even if your property sits on a mountaintop. That some banking nerd can randomly force you to get flood insurance is highly annoying. Then TMS got my loan back a few months after Fifth Third had it. The Money Source sold my loan from one holder to another, servicing both ends of the transaction. The communication during the transaction was poor, and the lack of timely notification risked us being late on our mortgage payment. Once the transaction was completed they DOUBLE CHARGED our monthly mortgage payment, taking one full month on one day and another full month on the next day. AVOID this company at all cost! I wish so badly they were not my lender. The first chance I get to refinance I am leaving TMS. For three years they have been paying my property taxes to another home in my city. I bring it to their attention, and it has been over a month and I am still delinquent with my city. To be fair they have made some small progress but only because I have to call them everyday. They provide no update, don't care you have liens and penalties, and the best part if one of their customer service reps feels... read more
When I went to pay this off early, they gave me a payoff statement and what would be refunded in escrow and when that amount was paid, they came back and said there was arrearages on Mortgage Insurance and took it out of escrow they owned me. Why would you submit a payoff statement with arrearages left out? But no matter what you say or how you question it, they're going to keep the money. Sounds alittle like double dipping ripoff to me!!!
