The problem started when I scheduled a late payment for the 20th of January for my monthly payment, and I come to see the payment was never processed. Wait a day on the 21st decide to try it again and the payment went through no problem. A few days later I see the charge charge from the 20th coming through on the 24th. I did not anticipate the charge to go through because I had never seen it process nor was I able to dispute it on time with my bank. Our mortgage was sold to TMS after a refinance. Twice our first payment got returned but both times customer support told me the wrong things, first it was the app and would be fine and then I had to pay by phone for a first payment. When nothing worked I got hold of Kristi Schleicher, VP of Customer Experience. She responded immediately, investigated the problem, followed up finding a typo in our account number, and everything went right through. She said she’d talk to the reps about the situation. Recently had our mortgage swapped right when we were ending a forbearance. The rep said we would be able to do our deferment here now we are being told we are behind over 10,000. Tried calling the customer service lines and even though its noon eastern time, can't get a hold of someone. So far definitely not impressed.

Avoid TMS!!!!! I have been dealing with them on the same issue for over a year! My brother had a mortgage with them and unfortunately has passed away. We were due an escrow refund when we closed his account. They made out the check out to him and we asked them to reissue the check. We sent in multiple documents including a court order demanding them to reissue the check and to this day we still have not received a reissued check. This is the worst company to trust with your mortgage. For 2 years they miscalculated my escrow and have raised my mortgage. I then send an escrow payment that was not applied to my escrow and am now being charged for it again. Even after talking to a manger that fixed my issue in December. Here come February and I still have the same problem and am told i have a shortage even though I have a checked cash and a statement showing the payment. Avoid this bank.
I am a current TMS customer. My credit was marked as late after our escrow account increased by $184.00. We pay our mortgage monthly through our bank's bill pay. I neglected to open the monthly statement from TMS that indicated our mortgage was increased by $184.00. since I trusted that my payments are made automatically through Bill Pay. I was alerted by my Credit Karma app that I had 30-day late payment and it was then that I contacted TMS. I spent hours upon hours on the phone. This lender is terrible if you had a loan in forbearance. My modification was completed with my prior lender but when my loan was transferred to The Money Source they refused to recognize it. I called more times than I can count trying to get it straightened out but still do not have a resolution. We are now into month 4 of this process. Total crook Mortgage Company!!! My husband was laid off from work for nine months due to COVID. After we got back in our feet, we did a home loan modification with TMS to help us with our financial situation and get back on track. Our mortgage remained the same for two months, adding 4 years to our loan term. Then TMS did an analysis on our mortgage and our monthly payment went from $2499 to $3051, which put financial hardship!
