TMS double paid my local 2021 school district taxes even though they were clearly paid at the time of closing, leaving me with an escrow shortage and several thousand in limbo. After multiple calls because TMS paid my taxes that I didn’t owe because I’m 100% VA Disabled, I paid the lump sum back for the tax payment. After calling numerous times, I was told I would be good and payments would be back to normal after an escrow analysis. I checked today after an e mail saying the analysis was completed and instead now owe even more. My tax payment still hasn’t processed and now they are charging a late fee!!!! The money source purchased my loan last year. I pay my monthly mortgage early. Often a couple months early. I'm never ever late. The last payment I made was May 2021 for the month of August. All was well. In July 2021 I login just to see that now all of a sudden, not only can I not make a payment, but I apparently owe 44k in past due payments. No stars<br /> If you overpay by any amount; even one penny extra , your payment will remain on hold and will be considered a non payment.<br /> So you are punished for paying extra.<br /> Example:<br /> I over paid for three months on the first of every month.<br /> Then got a letter saying I am being foreclosed due to non payment and yes this was also reported to credit reporting agencies trw etc.<br /><br /> My advice only pay exact amount due remember they can change that too called escrow adjustment.<br /> Call them eve... read more
The Money Source (TMS) incorrectly charged an escrow payment to my account and have not corrected the mistake. My account wasn’t setup for escrow and I paid all my taxes directly to the county. My account at the county is in good standing. This left my account in the TMS systems as incorrectly having a negative balance. They also did not apply multiple $X.XX over payments to principal over the period they serviced the loan also leading to an incorrect principal balance.<br /> My account was then transferred to a new servicer... read more
I'm very disappointed with the service on my account. I have done all my part but The Money Source is not doing their part on my behalf.
I would give negative stars if that would be possible. Worst customer service. They love to transfer and pass you off to someone else. Good luck getting your payoff from them. Currently at two weeks with multiple requests from myself and title company and they refuse to provide it.
The Money Source was the mortgage servicing company for less than a month before my mortgage was sold off. I called TMS several times, and all of them very confusing and non-helpful agents to help me out (literally pushing me out) - 0 stars to them. kristi schleicher solved our issue within minutes in regards to our mortgage being transferred. she is a customer service saint and probably wears a cape similar to batman or superman. what a rare gem of an experience as customer service these days in society is mediocre at best.
