The Money Source bought my mortgage after a recent refinance. It was almost impossible to talk to a live person when they failed to pay my property taxes out of my escrow. when they finally got around to actually paying the taxes, they stuck me with the $40 late fee assessed by the county because of their incompetence.
Horrible. Gas company let me know deed wasn't filed locally 5 MONTHS AFTER CLOSING. THEN home owner's insurance paid late. Had to jump through a ton of hoops to address the issue. Still not solved. May have to hire a lawyer to sort it out. Run away -- Go with a local company. Too many cooks in this kitchen!
3 years ago as themoneysource.com bought my loan from greenlight they forgot to pay my homeowner's insurance even though they confirmed to acquire my $3850 escrow balance to pay it. FHA loan places this entirely in the lender's court. So my nicely priced universal property and casualty insurance was canceled then they force-placed insurance on me that made my monthly payment go from 2100 to near 2500/month. Their customer service is terrible. You have to continually asked to talk to a customer service agent (I believe it asks you about four times), and this process takes about four minutes to get someone on the phone. They have confirmed my phone number multiple times...but when my my home owners insurance was not paid they said they reached out to me (lie) and they said they called me insurance agency three times (lie) and then said they might have the wrong number for me....it's correct on my account and has not changed. Escrow Refund not processed after 4 months. TMS has paid duplicate tax payment ( for 2020 ISD taxes) from my account. I have called and explained showed proof that it was duplicate and they need to refund my money, I have contacted them at least 10 different times and I have sent multiple emails to them and after 4 months they were not able to resolve the issue. After over 7 months, I am still waiting for TMS to update my account. As of Sept. 2020, I completed a loan modification on the mortgage with TMS. And as of today, April 5, 2021, my account is still showing past due with a payment due Sept 1, 2020. This is after I have made each monthly payment and speaking to SEVERAL different employees at TMS, including supervisors and managers. We had fallen behind on our mortgage due to the pandemic. I had applied for a repayment plan but the initial paperwork denied it and told us to file bankruptcy or give the home back. I then called in and asked for the six months forbearance but was told that I didn’t qualify. However, after doing some research I found out that I most certainly was. I will start this review by saying that the TMS employee, Kristi Schleicher, who asked me to review her performance is a wonderful person who bends over backwards to help TMS customers. This company better pray they never lose her!<br /> She is a shining example of the type of employee who I would want representing my company. My wife modified our loan with tms last year. She has made all payments on time. She even paid ahead a couple payments. The payments were never applied. Now there George ready to foreclose on our house. Do not I repeat Do not do business with these people they will try to steal your house like they're trying to steal mine.
