If your pet is actually really sick and needs to be seen right away, don't bother trying to get an appointment. You can only get through to a centralized operator. They will tell you to go to an Animal Hospital, even during normal business hours. Find a vet that has flexibility in their schedule and leaves room for emergencies. There is nothing affordable about this clinic. The prices were the same or more than other vets in town.
I went to thrive where my dog has a record to get the flea / heart worm oral medication that only vets can distribute... which already seems like a scam .. they wouldn't give me the medicine without my dog having a check up ... seems like extortion... deny an animal a medicine it needs to be healthy...instead had me stand outside in the Texas heat and gave me one pill that only works for 3days for 8 dollars .. annoying ...

I have an 8 year old pit bull with relatively extensive health issues. Twice when making appointments we have been turned away at the door because of their scheduling conflicts. Before both visits we also spoke with personnel the day before laying out the extensive issues our girl is having and were told a dr could call us back. Both times this did not happen and both times we were turned away. I work 10-14 hour days and it is extremely difficult to make appointments that fit my schedule, especially during the current times.... read more

I've waited a few weeks to leave a review so it could be accurate on all accounts. Our 4.5 year old pup had a dental cleaning (with a possible extraction as we suspected she had cracked a tooth while eating an antler. Due to COVID19, there was a major delay in appointment openings so we waited on a list for about five weeks before getting a call about an opening the following day. They asked us to bring our girl to this location at 7:45am for drop off. Again, due to COVID, things were different. We weren't able to go in ... read more

Called to get an estimate for a teeth clean since my vet was charging 5-700$ to clean a 3 pound pup with gum issues. I specially told them I was trying to avoid this. They told me there was no way it would amount to that in order to do this I had to schedule an appointment so I did. I drove half an hour and waited an hour in my car just to be told that they were going to charge me $660!! I had asked them to trim my dogs nails so I basically pay $45 for a nail trim and wasted my time!! So frustrating
Business response:
Thank you for your review, Yazmin. We understand your frustration, however when we examined your pet's mouth a basic dental cleaning was not recommended due to the severity of your pets teeth, so we had to make further medical recommendations on the best course of treatment for your pet which is why this price was higher. At THRIVE, our mission is to bring quality veterinary care at unprecedented value to all pets, and it is our policy is to provide you with an estimate in advance to any procedures so that we can avoid any s... read more
This place gets 1 star ONLY for affordability. The service itself deserves 0 stars. I've been coming here for nearly 2 years because I am a college student with 2 cats who sometimes require frequent medical attention, so the VIP payment program has been ideal for my situation. However, I've become fed up to the point where the low costs aren't even worth it anymore. I'm gonna have to just suck it up and start paying more to go elsewhere because this place ABSOLUTELY SUCKS and here's why: Everyone who works here is always... read more

I went to the Oltorf location because my dog had a bad breath smell. The vet told me she needed tooth extractions. We schedule her surgery two months later. The surgery went well, and she was eating and having fun. Then ten days later, she started to have breathing difficulties. We ran to the Emergency dog hospital, and they informed us she had a tumor in her throat. The tumor was no longer treatable, and we had to perform euthanasia. I feel heartbroken and firmly believe that the vet misdiagnosed our beloved Lady.
Had an appointment, got there 10 minutes before, I waited while 2 others who came in after I did got seen right away, then waited until 20 past the hour to leave. The receptionist offered to remind the techs that I was waiting, but I declined. If you have to be reminded that somebody is waiting for service, perhaps you already have too much going on.

Not a fan. My husband and I wanted to try this place out because our other vet got too expensive for us. But regretting it now. Every time you call no matter what the question the person on the phone has to put you on hold to go and ask someone else. So our entire phone call was me asking a question then the lady saying "idk let me go ask. Please hold" 3-4 times. & then several times they said the vet was busy so they would call me back, never called. My dog has an abscess on his neck. We went in, they did a needle aspir... read more
