I had a bad experience with the first Thrive vet clinic... customer service was the worst I've ever experienced ever. Not until the vet actually found the bug that was causing the problem with my rescue did she start to treat me respectfully, certainly embarrassed by her and the tech's rude response initially to a human that might know something. I started going to a different location, and things seemed fine... until I brought my puppy in the second time for unknown issues. Where the vet examines for internal issues, which ... read more

BAD EXPERIENCE. Took our sweet older cattle dog for teeth cleaning. Told to arrive at 7:45AM. Didn't open until 8AM. No word by 4PM. Called. Got the answering service. No callback. Drove over. Your dog isn't ready. Drove home. Got a call at 5:15PM. We aren't going to get to your dog. Drove back. Got our dog. Had been at Thrive for *10* hours. Hadn't eaten in *24* hours. Had to pee badly. Hadn't gotten teeth cleaned or even checked. Sorry, not sorry. No manager on duty. Who is it? Toni. What's her last name? We don't know. Re... read more

I take my puppy here but I was kind of pissed when the vet told me it wasn't safe to bring my 11 week old puppy on a flight. 8 week old pups fly all the time, the vet suggested I do ground transport because she said that I wouldn't be able to take my pup on a plane. I'm out $750 now because of what she told me, but the person who took my pup was able to fly with him?! Kind of ridiculous. I was going to take my pup in cabin with me but even then she wouldn't sign any kind of forms for me.
If I could post a zero star rating I would. I was in yesterday with my 16yo, less than 5lb miniature pomeranian to have a simple nail trim performed. After waiting 20 minutes to finally be checked in to her appointment, we were denied the simple service, stating that she would need a rabies vaccine. I explained that my dog is senior aged and was shocked at them demanding this as we were NEVER informed of this in the past. We have been customers at Thrive for nearly 3 years and never had been told this before. She had been in... read more

Just to respond to the business owner's comment below, I did call for help before leaving this review and whoever called she was rude, condescending, and showed absolutely no desire to help me or my pet. If Thrive wanted to make this right the ball is in their court.
Business response:
Hi Maria, I apologize that when you called in you felt the person was not helpful, and I would like to look into this further for you. Please email me (Kylie) at woof@thrivevet.com with further details about the issues with your visit and the customer service you received so that I can look into this and help find a resolution. Thank you, Kylie
The staff is nice, the doctor very helpful, however the company seems to lack communication at the expensive of the customer. I paid for a service that I did not receive, aka theft. The reason? Policy, a policy of a deadline that was not explained to me the first time or the second time when I called to ask if there was a deadline for lab tests. I was told I could bring in the sample when it was convenient for me, which I did. Then they have the audacity to say I could just buy another lab test now that I know there is a dea... read more

This place was about $125 cheaper than other vets in town...but I took my dog twice for skin issues. They told me it was an allergy and to get some benedryl. It got much worse and my poor dog was really uncomfortable. I took him again and they said to give him Zyrtec again. I finally took him to a DIFFERENT vet a few weeks later and they properly diagnosed him with a skin infection. 4 days of antibiotics and my dog was 100% better. Thrive vet was cheaper but they misdiagnosed my dog twice for a simple infection.
Business response:
Hi Jimena, I am regretful you had this experience at Thrive, after consulting the clinical team, we were unable to find a Jimena G. with similar diagnostics. Could you please reach out to me at carly.hughes@thrivevet.com to help resolve this.
Two stars for the awesome, patient staff and sweet vet. Also that I don't ever feel pressured and their prices seem really fair. Three stars deducted because every time I come here, my appointment is late. Like an hour late. What's the point of making an appointment?! My dogs always get so anxious waiting around. Also Ive sent my prior records to them several times and they always ask for them when I come. Where did they go? The staff seems extremely nice and hardworking but also spacey. One time I watched the receptio... read more
I have a 5 month old puppy who has been going here for the past couple months. It has been fine up until today when I actually needed them. My puppy broke his leg this afternoon and my girlfriend rushed him over to get looked at, they not only didn't offer any useful advice but refused to see him. They have been impossible to deal with all day went to another vet (Austin Urban Vet) and they saw him right away. We called to cancel our membership (after being treated terribly) and am sitting at the emergency room to hear the... read more
