Although we didn’t get to place an order with Universal I can tell you the quote process was absolutely horrible. We were very clear about what we wanted, took pictures of the entire outside of our home and spent a bit of time with the sales guy virtually. This is how the quotes went: - Our original quote went from $6900 - Oops I under quoted new cost is $7400 - I’m sorry I cannot honor this quote - I will honor the quote - I’m sorry I didn’t realize that’s what you wanted new cost is $12,700

We called to order a replacement sash for one of our windows in May. Since then we had one of our commercial buildings upgraded to new windows through you. We have left several messages and texts for John Paul. This was the response I received on July 9 it is now July 22. “I have a ship date of 6/3. The warehouse is locating it. Once they find the part I’ll call to schedule “ Is your warehouse that big that it takes 2 weeks to find a sash? Please advise

I admire the salesman’s ability to shoot for the stars. But we are going to have to pass on a new roof from you. 51k MSRP which was so graciously knocked down to 38k (because of employment in healthcare) is double all of the other quotes we were given. You all may want to work on your sales pitches. I understand shooting high and working down, but you all shot yourselves way out of the realm of possibly closing the sale.

Universal Windows ruined my mother's condo. She paid over $8,000 for new windows in her condo. After faulty installation, they immediately began leaking down the entire condo from the 2nd story windows down into the basement. She called and called and called but they refused to fix the windows and would hang up on her. When she asked them to come fix the leak, one representative literally said "You can't tell us what to do". Finally, I had a contractor tear out the drywall to confirm the faulty window installation. I had to throw their salesman out of the house after He copped an attitude with me because I didn't want to finance with them immediately, I wanted to talk to my bank tomorrow. After he extensively went on about nonsense that had nothing to do with selling Windows for 2 hours, he had a price match paper that he put away. (trying to beat Window Nation) And then raise my quote by $300. When I asked him why he put it away. He said that it was only for customers who were buying right now. Jake is a terrible salesman. We had them come out to give us a quote. The guy quoted 15,000 at first then when we said that was way more than we expected he said well I can give you this and that to make it 14,000. We said that was still more than we were thinking. He called his manager and said if we advertised for 60 days in our yard they would do $9800. We told him we had another estimate but that sounded great. He told us we had to take it now or it would go back up to $14000 after he left... and he was pretty rude about it. We had windows installed which we love. We had two doors installed. Not loving them as much. The keypad lock didn’t work correctly, someone came out three weeks later to replace, still didn’t work properly, he came back and swapped that garbage lock for a key deadbolt. We’ve asked for the difference in $$ no one has responded. We’ve asked for receipts and documentation no one has responded. For the price and the hassle I would have been better going with a competitor. Cannot and will not recommend this place.
We had a 22 window quote of $18,000 and then decided to give them another try during their buy 1 get 1 sale. Given the exact same, $18,000 quote even though we already had 11 windows replaced by someone else. 🤔
Honest pricing, timely service and quality product would be helpful. I'm still waiting for them to get it right. Im not happy at all for the money I spent. I would never recommend Universal windows direct
