We ordered siding for our home a couple of years ago and had to wait months to get it. Now I ordered an entry door, it was supposed to be installed in late December to early January. We called when we did not get it installed on the due date, we were told it would be two weeks. Two weeks came and gone. We called again and now we were told it would be in March. I will not use universal windows again. I will also let my friends and neighbors know about the poor service.

the windows we received do look nice, however we had our windows installed on September 25, 2020 and 1 of the windows we ordered qas incorrect, and another window didn't come with a balancer so we are unable to open. when the windows were installed, the guy said he would order and it will.take 4-6 weeks for them to come out and install/repair. It is now January 15, 2021 and we still have not received the balancer. my husband has called customer service 4 different times to get an update on this however we keep getting the ru... read more

Sales Rep in such a hurry to just sell and leave as quickly as possible didn't let me look at brochure that you only see once they arrive to pick a front door. So no front door for me.. I bought all new windows and had a back window cut out and a sliding door installed. (Again,gave me no options) Also didn't give me Customer service cuz I didnt think about 3 rooms that had all white trim. I paid extra for wood look inside. Now have to hide look of those windows. 2 company reps could have brought it to my attention consideri... read more

To start the sales guy Jeff, I dealt with was great. The problem of lack of communication from the production team. after months finally got 13 windows and 2 out 3 doors installed. Install crew showed up in unmarked vehicles which clearly goes against their" we use our own installers". Installers did not thoroughly clean up after themselves. Head install guy was continuously on his phone having personal conversations. meanwhile we were pointing out gaps in the windows which he delayed to address. once they left noticed 1 win... read more

UWD product is not durable. I brought a fiber glass entry door November 2019. The door was installed January 2020, I was so happy! By May 2020 the window inside of the door started to melt. UWD replaced the window I thought that was the end, could have possibly be a defective product. Within 5 months the same problem happened, but even worst. I am still waiting to replace the window. Was told by the salesman to replace my storm door with a low E storm door. Which I did, but that didn’t help. This door is a hazard, it smell ... read more

This whole experience was dreadful. Started with piss poor communication to try and get the measurements for the windows done which took 2 weeks to set up as they never answered the phone even if I called them right back after they called me and I missed it while at work. Only got people to come out after to directly contact the salesman who did the consultation. Then after the install they left a mess in my yard and house including leaving the building permits for another customer in my house.

Recommended to avoid this company. I should have paid the cancellation fees and went with a competitor which gave me $6K less quote. Installation is not perfect. Cleanup was minimal. Saleslady lied to us about the operation of the half screens which she told us would operate in both positions, however, this is not the case as there is a large gap for bugs to enter when in the up position. The solution for us was to purchase full screens. We still don't have them after several attempts. Service after sale is horrendous. ... read more
