We had a 22 window quote of $18,000 and then decided to give them another try during their buy 1 get 1 sale. Given the exact same, $18,000 quote even though we already had 11 windows replaced by someone else. 🤔
Honest pricing, timely service and quality product would be helpful. I'm still waiting for them to get it right. Im not happy at all for the money I spent. I would never recommend Universal windows direct
In all honesty, the 3 young men that came to replace the windows did an overall wonderful job. However, I informed these gentleman about the garden under the front window that was being replaced. I politely asked them to be careful around the plants. I've spent so much time trying to get them to where they are, and it's my first garden. Keep your promises of lead times.
I would highly recommend NOT going through Universal Windows Direct if you are interested in replacing your windows. Installation was terrible and they should be embarrassed. They left my house a mess(debri, nails, screws, broken tile) and were unresponsive for 2 months after I complained and sent pictures. 2 months later they called about something completely unrelated and then pretty much just said sorry, there is nothing we can do because theres a lifetime warranty. Signed a contract in October 2018 for a complete set of windows which totaled 18 windows. Here we are mid-June and the house is incomplete; a missing window that has been reordered twice, along with service that needs complete. The company repeatedly states they are working on it and...it’s all a lie. They were paid in full (my error) and have yet to deliver a complete project. An absolute nightmare that is still not over. I could write pages on this company’s cheap product and abhorrent customer service. My husband and I were so excited for brand new windows and paid thousands of dollars to get them, only to be extremely disappointed with what we ended up with. The windows are drafty and the grids aren’t centered or square. On top of that, they were installed poorly, with gaps left between sashes and frames. It took 5 months to get our job completely done. Had employees (several times) show up without proper tools to fix the problems we encountered after installation and had to borrow them from us. Who shows up to fix a second story window without a ladder?? I was billed before the job was completed. No one has tried to reach out and apologize for all of the inconveniences even tho I’ve emailed several times. Biggest headache dealing with this company.
