If anybody ever needs windows replaced, I 100000% DO NOT recommend Universal Windows Direct. Ordered windows in November. First install scheduled beginning of March. ALL 15 windows were mismeasured. No type of compensation offered, but was told I would be updated every 2 weeks until next install(spoiler: was never updated) Next install scheduled for today only. TWO men show up to install 15 windows. Why only 2? Because we were supposed to be told/scheduled for an install to take 2-3 days to complete. So I currently have 8 wi... read more

Absolutely awful experience. Changed our order several times and each change came with an upcharge. It took 6 months to finally get them installed by an insanely rude installer who walked off the job not finished. The job was finally finished several days later. We requested a bill with the adjustments SEVERAL times and never once received one. Now being taken to court by a company that I cannot say enough bad things about.

I would highly recommend avoiding this company. The installation team has left my bay window like this for a month now, and they’re saying they won’t get back to it until the end of May. That will be over two months. There has been two times they were supposed to come back out and fix this mess, and just didn’t show up. Needless to say I will be filing a complaint with Ohio AG, this is no way to conduct business.

They promised us that the windows inside would look finished but ended up chipping lots of paint around each window. The install crew rxplained, this happens sometimes, we can’t mud around every window to fit it. Okay. So we’re 2 years in and several service calls later and bugs can get in certain windows. Missing a weather strip possibly? Frustrating and not what I expected when getting brand new windows especially for the price. Dissatisfied customer. Will not recommend to family/friends.

I called in regards to a free home estimate and for me to look at how well their product is constructed and chase the representative said he couldn’t set up an appointment for me. Guess they don’t think their window construction is that good and I guess they don’t want my money. That’s fine I have someone coming tomorrow from another company to give me an estimate. I would take my business elsewhere.

Absolute worst customer service. I was told my quote was guaranteed for 2 years. Called back less than a year later and told they would not honor it. They literally told me to call another company. No problem, I will be more than happy to. They also asked if the measurements were the same, do windows change size? Absolutely ridiculous. Noone on the phone was helpful or friendly at all. They obviously do not care about keeping your business or they would not tell you to call other companies, and they actually gave me the list... read more

After being impressed with the presentation and explanation of the order and installation process, we ordered both a garage entry door and a back door early September. We then were professionally measured by your company a couple weeks later to make sure all the sizing and measurements were correct. While we were hoping for an end of October installation, we were finally scheduled for the end of November. this is an actual email that I sent to this company with no response from them enough said I am reaching out to see if you can help figure out what to do. The window install was and is a nightmare! When I got home to inspect them on day one I was really shocked how dirty everything was, then inspecting the caulking job it looked like an amateur did it. Like that wasn't bad enough the next nice day I decided to clean the windows and 5 out of 9 windows were installed so poorly that you could not even get them out for clean... read more

We had our windows installed in August, it’s January and two of them have cracked. When we had them installed it was an issue with another window that they broke and it took a few months to get it back. Then they expected me to start paying on the windows when the windows were not completely installed. I would not recommend them at all.
