Uptown Hounds was founded in late 2006 by Steve Robinson, a Lexington, Kentucky native. He envisioned a true resort for our beloved canines where all expectations would be surpassed and spent 18 months developing the concept and constructing the Lexington resort. Centered on family and hospitality, the Uptown Hounds resort is an all-inclusive home away from home, including vibrant activity for dog-loving families.

RecommendedWe leave our two girls here when we go out of town and they seem to enjoy it! I’ve been very happy with the staff and how friendly they are! We get the post cards each day and the girls looked so happy and seemed to have plenty of interaction with the staff while there. They forgot to send a post card one day and immediately said they’d take it off the bill!
they did an amazing job with the first time grooming of my 7 month old ausie-doodle. I'm very happy with the results of her first time!
I took my Miniature Schnauzer, Macy, to Uptown Hounds for her first day of daycare. She was so nervous because she is afraid of anything new. She actually was playing with other dogs her size and got a tremendous report. I was thrilled. She needs exercise so badly and she also needs to be more social. I believe I will see a steady improvement in time. I would recommend at this point for sure. Everyone was very nice!
We've taken our pets to Uptown Hounds for years, and are always pleased. They are never freaked out to be left there, and are always happy and calm when we pick them up. Our Jack Russell is a handful, and they never seem to have any issues with him. I feel that they really monitor our dogs while they're there, rather than just stick them in a cage and feed them once a day, and I appreciate that level of care. We never worry about our babies while we're away when they are at Uptown Hounds!
Uptown Hounds is wonderful! I have a dog that is people aggressive. They make my dog feel at ease every time he is groomed!
My two shepherds love daycare at uptown! They especially love the cool pool! We highly recommend! We give 4 paws up!
Heart had a fabulous time in his first doggy day care day. He came home a big furry happy boy and we feel so confident leaving him (he is our baby) in the care of Uptown Hounds!
Great experience for our 2 dogs while we went out of town. They kept in touch and provided updates when we requested. One of our dogs came down with a uti and they were prompt in alerting us so we could contact our vet and get meds. It was a weekend so the in-house vet wasn’t in. They even reached out on the 2nd day to let us know the dogs weren’t eating and offered to put peanut butter in their food to help their appetites.
We have used the outdoor pool for our dogs for the last 4 summers. They love it! Our younger dog has been swimming there since he was 11 weeks old. Very friendly and helpful staff. I have recommended Uptown Hounds to many people.
