I first contacted Valley West with the vague hope of buying my own home, but not really expecting to qualify due to financial issues after my divorce. Our dealings for the most part were with J Romero at West Valley Mortgage who did an excellent job. He handled our frustration in a professional manner as I particularly couldn't believe what a hassel it as become getting a mortgage these days despite having everything in order and having had about 20+ mortgages over the years with zero problem. Apparently under the "new" arrangement, whatever than means, despite having substantial assets means nothing. It makes me wonder how some questionable people ever get a mortgage at a... read more

After having a less than satisfactory experience with one of the "big banks" in obtaining a home loan, I then turned to Jesse Carter of Valley West Mortgage. As it turns out, Jesse was exactly the person I was looking for to manage such transaction. Jesse is a person who is very forthright, ethical, and clinical in his promise. Andrew Acuna did an excellent job for us. Everything was straight forward and quick with no surprises. I entered my information on the website on 1/13 and was initially contacted on 1/15. After filling out the required paperwork, my loan rate was locked in on 1/22. From that point, the appraisal was scheduled and performed, and the title company prepared so that we could close on 2/4.
