I was new to San Diego and my 4 month old puppy Charlie needed to have a safe place to go and play. After a month testing different daycare places it was clear that Wag Hotel was not only the best choice in structure, wonderful staff, pricing, and options... but the Only hotel/daycare I didn't have to force my scared pup in the door! Charlie is 4 yrs now and he still bounds in the door... to be greeted, petted, and loved. The caring professional staff and management at WAG offer smiles, and reaches out to the new guest and ... read more

Thanks so much, Mary. We are all very attached to Charlie, he's one of the originals. We always love to see you both.
We love Wag hotel!! Our dog always has a blast and the staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with. They are always willing to answer our questions. Our dog is pretty big boy so taking care of him can be a chore sometimes and they are amazing. Would recommend this to anyone who needs somewhere for there dog to play:) we enjoy the daily report cards and watching him on the camera as well .
My dog Chano loves staying at this place. We have been using wag hotel since it came to San Diego (we were previous clients of Pooch hotel which then became Wag hotel). Our dog is always happy to come here for boarding. We like the fact that we can see our dog Chano on camera when he is playing and that they are 24 hours/365 days per year. The staff is super friendly and caring. All know Chano by name, his food, his medication, etc. It is good to know that when traveling your dog is in good hands.
Business response:
Thanks, Guillermo. We all love Chano and always enjoy having him with us.

Hard NO on boarding at this place. Their online boarding accommodations do not reflect reality. The photos on their app make the rooms look comfortable and inviting. Based on my experience, that was not what I found. See the photos and decide for yourself. I booked an expensive "Daystay Deluxe Suite" for my sweet Aussie well in advance and received a confirmation. When I arrived around 5 a.m. before my trip, the employee checking us in told me I was assigned a medium room. I explained that I had specifically booked a suit... read more
Business response:
Hi Shanny, Please accept our sincerest apologies. We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you and your Aussie experienced during your visit with us. The reservation mix-up you encountered at check-in, especially at 5 a.m. right before your trip, is not the experience we want for any of our guests, and we completely understand how stressful that must have been for you. We also deeply regret that the suite conditions did not meet the expectations set by our marketing and online accommodations, and that the environm... read more
Ask for a tour. Ask where they go potty. The answer is- THEY NEVER TAKE THE DOGS OUTSIDE. The dogs are suppose to potty in the enclosures. You have to PAY for additional potty breaks. This should be illegal. Health hazard! Sanitation issue. Training issue.
Business response:
Hi Angela, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your recent experience did not meet your expectations. Cleanliness and the comfort of every dog in our care are extremely important to us, and we understand how concerning this visit felt for you. This is the second time I took my fur babies to Wags Hotel. What bothered me a little I came home with no food. I gave them more than enough food. So the leftover food I should've gotten to take it home . Trying get a hold of somebody in the San Diego Wags it's just totally impossible. I think I'll think twice about taking them back down there.
Business response:
Hi Nora, Thank you for your review. We genuinely admire your kind words about the care you received for your dogs. We are happy to hear Ashley made you feel right at home! We look forward to welcoming your dogs back in the future.
Recommend no for active duty, first responders, and military veterans. They are beyond capacity at 123 dogs now. They are starving the dogs because the managers and owners do not want to actually pay their staff to do their job. I paid over $600 in advance to have my dog taken care of. They said we do not do refunds. Well I am not paying over$600 to have my dog abused. My dog is very social and has attended various daycares. My dog has also the worst rash from this daycare as well.
Business response:
Hi Moniqua, We apologize for not being able to connect with each other to go over some of your concerns in this post. We hope you and Toby have found a new normal and routine after this incident. We'd like to thank you for trusting us in the care of Toby before all of this. Take care of yourselves!
