Recommend no for active duty, first responders, and military veterans. They are beyond capacity at 123 dogs now. They are starving the dogs because the managers and owners do not want to actually pay their staff to do their job. I paid over $600 in advance to have my dog taken care of. They said we do not do refunds. Well I am not paying over$600 to have my dog abused. My dog is very social and has attended various daycares. My dog has also the worst rash from this daycare as well.

If I could give zero stars I would have.In late August I took my 2 dogs to Wag Hotels in Mission Valley and had the worst experience ever!! They were there for 3 1/2 days. The 1st pic they sent of our Frenchie I thought the collar they put on her was way too tight but I made the biggest mistake by not calling. I thought I was overreacting boy was that a mistake! They called me the day we were picking them up to tell me her neck was irritated & asked if they could give her Benadryl & I said yes. After we get home I give them ... read more

If I could give no stars that would be best. I got a confirmation for my dog stay at this hotel. And the day of arrival they said I have been waitlisted and they are fully booked.. Never again.

I have boarded my dog here on multiple occasions but don't plan on getting a grooming or training done. On multiple occasions, appointments have been confirmed with booking, only to be turned away at the front desk. "We don't have a trainer on staff." "Can't seem to squeeze you in, the groomer is booked even though you got confirmed." Both confirmed appointments made online and called to reconfirm the appointments. You have to call or nothing is set in stone. Why even have an online option or offer services when people a... read more

My husky came back with Giardia, a parasitic infection that lasted three weeks. Your dogs will supposedly share a water bowl in the play area which was contaminated. Not something that the staff can really help because I give them the benefit of the doubt that they clean them frequently. Otherwise we loved using the Wag Hotel, no groomer has done a better job at bathing our husky than they have.

Only use if it's a last resort. I set up an account and booked a reservation for my cat 2 weeks in advance. I recently relocated to San Diego from nor cal and don't have anyone at this time to watch my cat while I'm out of town. I called and asked the hotel what vaccinations or paperwork was required for the pet stay as it's not posted anywhere on the website. The representative told me and same week I took my pet to the vet and completed what was asked. I uploaded the documents thinking that was sufficient. A Week before o... read more

I brought my 2 dogs (Chigie & Chihuahua) to the San Diego Wag Hotel. They looked good during the tour, but don't;t believe it. My girls were here for 7 days. The chihuahua likes to wear sweaters so we took 2 with us. The staff put one on the chihuahua and the other on the 24 pound chigie. The size was x-small so it only worked as a girdle on the chigie. It was tight against her neck. I brought in food for 9 days even though we only needed 7 days. The dogs apparently didn't eat their food since the chigie lost 4 pound... read more

This is the worst place to board your dog. The people who work here are incompetent. I went in person to book my dog for boarding because we had a trip planned. I booked the boarding 3 days before our trip. The person said we were good to go because we've stayed there before. When I went to check my dog in the "customer service lead" had a rude attitude and told me my dog's vaccines weren't up to date on file. This should have been communicated in person when I booked the appointment. I was reasonably upset because we had a ... read more

Do not bring your pets here. The first time we took them. They were all peed on and stunk real bad. It looked like they did not take care of them and did not pay attention to them. I didn't say anything at the time but we wanted to give them a second chance. Well they did not allow us to bring the dogs in. Our dogs needed update on their vaccines and went back and forth with Leslie and the representatives over the phone for over an hour and was able to finally get the documents requested to show proof of vaccinations and the... read more
