Responsibilities

  • Own and support all databases including production, dev and QA 24x7. 
  • Proficiency in MySQL/MongoDB database management.
  • Expert in MySQL/MongoDB installation and configuration in ec2 environment.
  • Expert in Deploy database changes (DML,DDL) on prod and non prod databases.
  • Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Proficient in writing Bash or Python scripts.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
  • Good understanding of AWS services, particularly RDS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
  • 2 - 4 years in experience with owning large traffic production databases
  • In-depth understanding of MongoDB, including its architecture, features, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of MySQL/MongoDB replication, sharding, and high availability configurations.
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes specific to Mysql/MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and data manipulation tasks
  • Strong SQL query writing skills, including complex queries and performance tuning.
  • Experience with AWS services RDS,ec2,Cloudwatch and IAM.
  • Understanding of MySQL/MongoDB security features, including authentication and authorization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving database issues.
  • Have worked with new noSQL technologies and is open to learn and implementing in production.
