My mother went to Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing to recover from pneumonia. Within approximately two weeks, her condition deteriorated so dramatically that I feared for her life. She developed severe edema and fluid accumulation involving her heart and lungs, became profoundly weak and fatigued, and was so short of breath that she could barely speak without becoming winded. **Let that sink in: I was the one who ultimately had to call an ambulance to get my mother out of this facility.
