My Father has been to Skye Cannon twice. We have seen the positive changes over the past year. The DON Nanette is wonderful and made my dad and our family feel confident that my dad would be well taken care of. The facilities are very nice and clean. The nursing staff especially the hard working CNAs make sure that my dad was cared for and in good spirits. If there was any concerns, Nanette, Dr Le were a phone call away. The care my dad received at Skye Cannon was a large reason why he was able to heal and recover so well. ... read more

This place feels more like a resort than a rehab center unlike other nursing homes. The room itself is well-appointed with simple but elegant decor. My mom found the staff very accommodating & takes good care of her with morning physical therapy at their gym. I intentionally visited after-hours at about 9 pm to assess their staffing which in many cases are lean & light at night. Not here. Avoid going to Skye Canyon Post Acute if possible. The director of this facility is Dan Mortensen. The nurse practitioner they use is a guy named Mark Quim. Mark gave my mother Lexapro without consent. She didn't know that she was taking it. I wasn't informed until a week later. Mark Quim told me that if she didn't continue with Lexapro and add a sedative called depakote..... That nurses may choose to skip her room and not come in. This is illegal. Dan Mortensen knows about the situation. As far as I know he continues to emp... read more

Our 90 year old step-dad has mod/adv Alzheimer's. He cannot convey needs, nor rem if/when he has eaten, bathed, changed clothes, toileted, etc. Using a call button or asking for assistance is impossible. He had catheter complications but had no awareness of what the tube/bag was for. After a 3-day hosp stay it was sugg that he go to this facility to regain strength & continue IV antibiotics. A synopsis of SOME issues: 1. He was there 30 days, was sent to the ER 5 times due to blocked catheter, delirum, falls & ... read more

On this site only is it rated 5.0! Other rate it 3.5!!!! That is a joke!!! They take patient that should not be admitted there because they need more care than they can give Them!!!!!! This place is clean! But that is the only good thing I can say about it!!! They never check on their patients or do the nurses review what is wrong to see how they can help each individual patient! They don't check to see if they can get to the bathroom or know how to use the buttons or remotes!! They walk in and say push the button if you ... read more
