Sierra Basin Post Acute assisted in helping my sister through a serious decline in her life! She came here from Renown from an intubation and unknown cause in losing swallowing capability. Her physical decline was life threatening and she is a disabled but very aware adult 71 years old) Her care here included post surgery and PEG tube also . Most nurses are fat, lazy and incompetent. They gave meds at the wrong time, gave the wrong dose, didn't know what they were giving me, forgot to give them, couldn't pronounce the names of some. I had to ask every, single time what they were giving me. Sometimes it took an hour before they would respond to call light. Most of the CNAs were lazy. The good is the ot/pt The bad I would not feed the food to my dog it's disgusting !!! The nursing staff is good but they are run ragged it takes over 30 min sometimes when you hit the button. They are short nurses/helpers to patients. If they could improve the food that at least would help a little it looks like prison food

I've been trying get through for days and no one a swears the phone. I can't imagine the poor level of care if they won't even pick up the phone.
