54th Steet- Thank you for accommodating our party of 10 for my sister's bday. Service was great. Got all of our orders correct with all the special requests. Enjoyed the food.
Not my usual stop, but I was driving through KS and just needed a meal. I was pleasantly surprised with my Summer Blend salad (minus bleu cheese). It was large enough to satisfy, and the balsamic vinaigrette was perfect with the candied pecans. My hubby got the Fajita Salad with crumbled veggie patty (no cheese, no sour cream). 54th Street was certainly a happy find. Starting with the Baked Potato soup or Potato Kegs has become our routine. The French Dip was piled high with tender prime rib. The Pork Tenderloin is as big as the plate. Attentive service and giant to go iced teas, too. Their reward system is one of the best I've ever used. Large "bar food" menu has lots to choose from,,,chicken, burgers, or whatever! May have to visit weekly.
On last night I had one of my worst restaurant experiences since relocating to Olathe. The party of 5 that I came with had to ask 4 times to get my chips with our gringo dip. The wait time between our waitresse coming to check on our table was about 20 minutes. We watched a party of 7 be seated and no one ever came back to check on them. First of all this is my families favorite restaurant. My wife and I eat here 3 times a week at least and for the most part we get exceptional service and food. Most of the employees know who we are and usually know what to order for us before we order. We have only had a few bad experiences and unfortunately it has been with the same manager on site name Brian. He is rude, unaccomodating and disrespectful. This is the top 2 family favorite restaurant. We have never had anything we have not loved. My favorite is their buffalo chicken salad and the tortilla soup. Got try both just not at the same time as portions are HUGE !!! Staff is always friendly and efficient. You can't ever go wrong when choosing to go here
We go here often, but this is the first time I've been compelled to make a review. I got an order to go for my GF and I. We got home and unfortunately one of the items in my appetizer sampler was misrang and despite ordering a blackened chicken fettuccini, the bartender rang it in as a regular chicken fett. I took my husband here for his birthday last night. It was good. We ordered the 3 course meal for a couple. We both ordered the 7oz steak. I wish I had ordered one of their sandwiches instead. I saw someone else's order go by me while we were eating and I immediately had food envy. We will be back because it is so close to home and everything was pretty good. I will update my review once I try something else.
Few things. First, it's going to be a sad day when this business closes from the Great mall going out of business. Always quick and friendly service. Their gringo dip is soooooooo Amazing!!! I had the Ribs and Chicken Finger Platter and everything was cooked perfectly. The sauce for the ribs was tangy and delicious and the chicken fingers were warm and crisp. One of the better Restaurants in Kansas City.
