About this business

54th Street was founded in Kansas City, MO by Thomas E. Norsworthy in 1989. At 54th Street, we believe that great food starts with fresh produce, high quality meats and ingredients and meals prepared from scratch. Food and service are always excellent! One of my favorite places to take my family. We've been there multiple times and I've never been disappointed. They have a wide selection of foods. Anything from steaks, burgers, seafood, pasta, mexican and much more. Usually with a menu that big the food is sub par. Not here! Give it a try and you'll like it.

My family comes here every once in a while because they have a good variety for every taste bud. We must be lucky every time we come here because we usually do not have to wait for very long and the service is usually good! I think the food is really good too, we have had a few things, the apps are good. My friends who've had the salads love them and they're huge! I've had the Terminator (like the biggest steak ever) and it's always good, my 4 year old loves steak so I usually share with him. My husband like to get the crown... read more

My wife and I decided to give 54th Street another go for her birthday lunch over the weekend and it was a much better experience. My mother-in-law went with us and ordered the French Dip. She said it was very good and liked the fries. My wife had the Border Attack. She has had it several times before and liked it. This time was no exception. She said it was very good, especially the Gringo Dip. I avoided the Gyro "Hero" Pita this time and went with the Triple Stacked Club with fries. I ordered a side of Honey Mustard, but no... read more

Always great food but horrible management of getting people seated. 30-60 minute wait on Mother's day and we have been enjoying our meal with several empty booths around us during the entire meal. People are still waiting outside!

Ordered the house margarita it is very watered down. I found out from the not so friendly manager that they are pre made in the mornings. I requested the bartender hand make it which they did and wasn't much better. I always have good service so this must be a bad day here. Good note chicken fried chicken and waitress was great!

First I would like to thank 54th Street Grill & Bar for their Veterans Day appreciation. My wife and I served our country for a combined 60 years on Active and in the Reserves. So thank you for recognizing veterans. Last night we were invited to 54th Street by our neighbors to have dinner at 54th street. The people were friendly and it was NOT over crowded. When we ordered our food we did expect our food to be cooked not cold. The waitress never returned to refill our drinks, my grandsons mac and cheese was served frozen, ye... read more

I've always had a great time at any of the KC 54th Streets. The one in Olathe is no exception. Even though it is away from the 119th and Strang line area, they seem to always have a crowd. Lots of excellent things on the menu. A couple of my favorites are the Cajun Steak Sandwich (get waffle fries and gringo dip as the side) and the Big Easy Steak.

First time eating there as we were just passing through. Margaritas were awesome, food was delicious. Our waiter, Brian, was very great. The manager,John, came to our table and welcomed us. And instead if standing over us as he talked, he bent down to look us in the eye. The place was amazingly clean! We were there at closing and they took flashlights to each table and bar to make sure not only the table tops were clean but under the table as well.

Good Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm. Good drink specials. The bar is always busy and the servers run around like chickens with their heads cut off. If you want to watch tv or a game, sit in the bar. Otherwise, choose the dining room for better service. The specials are the same whether you sit in the bar or the dining room. We always go for happy hour. We have not paid full-price for anything here so far. The happy hour is affordable and filling. $4.99 for most things on the appetizer list and the items are huge portions. The ap... read more
