My son is level 3 nonverbal and since he’s been going to ABS kids my son is thriving. He knows how to say his ABC and 123. He now knows how to walk down 3 flights is stares. He now responds to his name when I call him. I love all the teachers who are taking the time out of they lives to educate children who are on the spectrum. It’s hard raising special needs children but the love and support they get from ABS Kids is priceless.
While only there a short while , (due to my son needing more significant support for his diagnosis) , we’ve had a decent experience. The BCBA/RBT assigned to my son were patient , understanding, and always kept me updated. Upon discharge, they provided a good amount of recommendations for in-home services that may be more appropriate for my son at the moment . Unbelievably terrible experience with this place. The BCBA and RBT's that we worked with were great, but the management is WILDLY cold hearted and careless. They run it like a corporation and only care about the bottom line. They do not care about these kids or their employees at all. Do NOT send your kids here.
We have been on the waitlist since December (it's July) and still haven't heard anything. The longest it was supposed to take was March. I've run it's many people who have quit there because it's not a great place to work. We will not be taking our kid there after all. Maybe the loooooong wait was a blessing in disguise.
I would never take my kid here. Management doesn’t know what they are doing. The place seems very unorganized and do not care about the kids but only to get a paycheck from the insurance. Very unsatisfied and disappointed in abs.
