This was my first time using this car rental company but it definitely won’t be the last. Checking out and dropping off was smooth and efficient. The customer service was also professional and friendly. The price I paid was a bargain when compared to most other car rental companies. I received the exact vehicle that I reserved. Found me a car last minute, rate was amazing, car was clean and awesome to drive. Staff was incredible and even extended my drop off time which allowed a morning visit to the beach and 9 holes before returning. Really easy to get out and return car.
For starters, they rented the car I reserved months ago because my flight was a half hour late. Then they charged me four hundred dollars more, twelve hundred total, for a filthy car that was beset with dashboard alarms, see the photos. This car has low tire pressure on every tire, it is filthy and the machine is demanding other maintenance at 42 K miles. This was my first time renting a car through Ace. The initial experience was fine and I was in town for a funeral so didn’t need to drive it much the first day - but the next day as I was driving, I noticed the car was shaking and then I noticed the service date on the car was due in July of last year or at 31500 miles while the car was at almost 36k miles. Be extremely careful renting from this company and take pictures at time of rental. There was a small crack in the windshield that was there at time of rental and the associate did not note this on their initial damage sheet. When I returned they claimed the crack was a result from me. It seems like this may happen fairly often at this company so just take the necessary precautions. Will not use ACE again.
