Warning just don’t waste your time!!!! After waiting for an hour and half for their shuttle…I finally get to this rental place. I pre-paid and got the extra car insurance. After all this they canceled my car rental! They were not willing to refund my money right then and there. Now I have to wait for who knows how long to get my money back! The manager was not willing to give me a reference number or a cancellation form. While waiting in line they canceled someone else’s reservation. ACE Rental Car (Newark “Airport”) – Misleading, huge delays, stressful/horrible process This is marketed as a Newark Airport rental, but it’s not at the airport and the pickup/return process adds hours. Pickup delays (real timeline): Terminal A ->AirTrain -> P3 pickup point: ~15-20 min. No regular shuttle (unlike other companies). You must call a toll-free number, go through prompts, then reach an operator: 5–10 min Wait after “scheduling” pickup: ~20 min. The worst!! They didn't have the car type I was suppose to get. Other customers who reserved were upset they did not have a car for them at all at the time of closing on a Friday night which I witnessed. Switched my car 3 times. Once, they finally found a car for me.... The agent told me I did not have full coverage, including comprehension and collision but I did. It was on my declaration page that I uploaded. Rented the vehicle online, super easy process, prices were by far the best, the vehicles are new(ish) and clean we got a 2024 corolla. Carlos helped me at check out, great customer service and a shuttle back to the airport. Will use them again, next time for business.

I rented the car through Travelocity. Travelocity charged me $24 for insurance. The rental company then charged me for another insurance policy, claiming that the insurance I paid for was something else, that it was for Travelocity. In addition to the rental fee, they charged me a $200 deposit, which they say they will return in two weeks (we'll see).
