I rented in advance online and had a really positive experience - I had pre-paid so was aware the rental company was outside the airport- a 5 minute shuttle ride away (at the taxi rank) - conveniently the location was next to Costco so it was ideal when it came to refilling my car with gas prior to returning it. I like the car, and very friendly service desk representatives. But I chose the dealer’s choice option, expecting to receive the cheapest sedan. However, I was given a minivan instead and had to pay for an upgrade to get a regular sedan, along with a late reservation fee (plus basic or full insurance of our choice). I was hoping for a lower price, but in the end, I ended up paying more compared to other rental companies.
By far the best rental car experience in a long time. Called the number and talked to the actual location. Got a discount because of the call. Pick up was great. Paper work was quick. Away we went. Rented 4 cars on the islands. This by far was the best place ever.
Just arrived to Maui with my wife and daughter and right as we got out of the airport we saw the Shuttle. Lara was very friendly and was only 5 minute drive. Jacques at the counter was awesome. Super helpful and easy to talk with. Will come back to Ace because of the excellent service
Don’t rent here, they take advantage of you. Even though you have full coverage from your own insurance they still mandate you to add liability! What a rip off! They know you are away from other car rental places and so you are stuck with them. Additional review: I got a response from the management and said to contact them Via email which I did and explained things and added docs to substantiate my issue but I got an email saying the same thing but nothing has been done to resolved it.
