I wished there were different stars for different areas but here we go. First the place is clean, well maintained, gated, locked with codes, and they have cameras, although not monitored. My complaint is on the ever increasing monthly rent. You start of at a great rate, then a couple months in, bam, they hit you with a rate increase, you bite your lip and adjust, then another couple months, bam, another hit. Just recently, I had to move out because the price increase was too much for me to continue paying. The last few months, I noticed that there wasn't always an employee available nor would anyone respond to emails. While moving out, I could smell someone smoking weed in the climate controlled area and it was near my space. I do not want my Father's furniture and belongings to smell like weed. Online reservation of a spot was easy and painless. The communications could a little clearer though... how to get the gate code to work, get a pad lock with a short, thin shackle... but otherwise pretty convenient and the property is currently in great shape!
I can't remember the lady who helped us originally. But we've had my mom's entire house stored there while it's being listed. We started using the storage unit sometime towards the end of the Summer and were only paying $70/month. Like MANY other reviews have stated, their rents have increased exponentially. Our rate has increased three times now I believe. And we were told originally, apparently others have too, that their rates were locked. We are now paying $135/month (insurance not included). This is ridiculous.
Advantage Storage has amazing customer service! They answered all of my questions (I had many). If you’re looking for a storage facility that treats you with respect and goes above and beyond, this is the place. Other storage places don’t even come close. Highly recommend.
