Dr. Issawi is confident in what he specializes in, he is practical, direct, and honest. I would trust him without a doubt in future surgeries. His office staff is kind, efficient, and proficient.
After being told by other docs I would need a spinal fusion I went to Dr Issawi and he recommended a laminectomy. I am pain free after suffering for years from sciatica! In my eyes he is a miracle worker and I would highly recommend him. I will be seeing him about my neck soon and hoping he can work his magic again.
Easy to talk to. Explains everything well. Bedside manner couldn’t be better. Great job with my surgery. I am completely out of pain. Would recommend dr. Issawi highly.
Two lumbar fusion screws were not done properly resulting in additional pain and inhibited recovery. Dr. Assawi through his pa said surgery was not warranted as was nothing to fix. Had to get another surgeon who did revision surgery, i had a screw tip in my disc space. Not trustworthy and is reluctant to deal with patients after surgery. Definitely stay away.
Lumbar surgery fusion that resulted in two screws loose and or misplaced that resulted in additional pain and impeded fusion. He had his PA tell me everything was fine. I ended up seeing another surgeon who had to do a second revision surgery to fix the issue.
Very rigid. Does not like to communicate. While hospitalized, where he works, when I had problems or questions, he would send someone down to talk to me. They would then tell me that they would have to talk to the Dr. and ask them, and that they would get back to me. They didn't. I am in more pain now than prior to the two surgeries - the first surgery was unsuccessful and made the situation worse (I couldn't walk) so a month later another surgery.
