Dr. Hauk has been helping me manage some unexpected allergies for about a year and a half now, and overall it’s been a really good experience. He’s knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and does a good job explaining what’s going on and what my options are. I appreciate that he’s willing to adjust the plan as we figure out what works best. Dealing with allergies can be frustrating, but having a consistent and responsive doctor has made it much easier. I’d definitely recommend Dr. Hauk.
I recently had to get paperwork filled out for my kid to start school & I was really surprised at how an allergist’s office has very limited knowledge of how to correctly & efficiently fill out Food allergy action plans & medication authorization forms. Their goal is to quickly get you off their backs & phone lines. Choose differently. Pick a place where your concerns aren't met with a literal "I don't know"... The goal here is to get you to walk in so they can bill you/your insurance. I was literally told to keep trying my own methods (I have non by the way) if the shots weren't making me feel better. I was told it was up to me to figure out an alternative solution in less than 4min in the office with the doc. I even said... I had a very uncomfortable and discouraging experience here with Dr. Michael Hauk. I first visited a year ago with clear/visible symptoms of an allergy but was brushed off by Dr. Hauk and told it was not an allergic reaction. I asked several times to be tested for allergies with the methods the office is said to use, but he refused to perform any tests, mentioning that it would not be useful and ridding it off as eczema (but still offering no plan for testing). Disorganized and disrespectful of your time. Multiple occurrences of incorrect dosages, incorrect vials, and incorrect scheduling. Frequently will wait for 15+ minutes in the lobby to get an injection, which would be tolerable in a world where they correctly administered dosages and kept you on the correct schedule. The clerks are pleasant to talk to, but the unprofessional nature of the practice is unbelievable.
