After nearly 4 years meeting with my provider quarterly, I got a text my appointment was canceled. I called twice before I actually spoke to a member of staff to understand my provider retired- I had to request an appointment with another provider. I just got another text (no call or message) bc my appointment w the new provider is canceled. Charged me a 100 dollar fee for being 5 minutes late despite the location having no signs indicating where the office is. Told me they’d refund it but still charged me a few days later. After being 5 minutes late they told me Dr.Cornelius wouldn’t see me because he wanted the full hour. Multiple friends have had the same experience. It’s a money scam. I’ve reported it to multiple rehabilitation centers to avoid recommending Ally Psychiatry. Do not come here.
I can’t wait to get far away from this company. It’s horrible and it’s sad actually. I’m 32 now and this has been going on at least since i was 24 years old. I’ve been seeing dr LaRussa along time ago and after he disappeared it has been a disaster. I’ve been through like 4 drs they change out of no where. Today the lady at the desk could’ve easilyyyy let me do my appt. She had no heart. I drove pretty good amount to get here. I love love LOVE Dr. Cornelius and my therapist at Ally. Dr. Cornelius was the first care provider to validate and provide a care plan for my ADHD and PMDD symptoms. My therapist is amazing and the perfect fit for me and what I need. After using this practice since 2024, I feel like a new human and know that the practice is a safe place to receive care!
I am leaving this review for both the Vestavia and Pelham locations, as I have been a patient across both for the past two years. If you are considering this practice for mental health care, please read this carefully. I started with River Region Psychiatry in Vestavia (now Ally Psychiatry).
