The shed/carport we got was excellent but the company's business practices are terrible, bordering to fraught. They send you a booklet with generic specs and state that you might have to buy more specific engineering drawings. This is very fake, they had our address and at least in Oregon, but I suspect every state in the US, there is a department where they have all addresses so you can look up all the specs needed for any type of building for any property. I had to buy the engineering drawings because one thing was differ... read more
Business response:
We're pleased to hear that you’re happy with the quality of the shed/carport and that our crew provided such a thorough and professional installation. We apologize for the frustration caused by the additional engineering requirements and costs. Building requirements can vary widely by location, and while we provide initial specifications, some areas do require specific engineering adjustments. We understand this was inconvenient and are committed to improving transparency in our processes. Thank you for recognizing the dedic... read more
First of all, the installers gouged our brand new concrete in a couple of places and have not paid to have it fixed. My concrete guys said it would cost $250. Industry standard has trim at one solid length but no not these guys. They sent out 10 ft 6 inch lengths when I have 14 ft tall walls and the doors are 12x12. So, they pieced it and there are ugly seams all over the place. They pieced it 4 ft or so from the bottom so it's right at eye level almost and very noticeable. After many phone calls they finally sent a crew ou... read more
American carports did more damage than good. They gouged our brand new concrete with the forklift and will not pay for repairs. The trim pieces are 10 ft 6 in Long but my garage door is 12x12 and the corner trim is 14 ft. So, they pieced it together and eye level around 4 ft up from the ground where it is very noticeable. They squished the bottom piece of the trim when they overlapped it so it sticks out and he's even more noticeable. They sent a crew to put the trim seems at the top but the crew came without matching screws... read more
We purchased the building through millennium buildings and the cells person was great. When you buy a building make sure you find out how long the trim pieces are going to be. The trim pieces or all 10 ft pieces and there's nothing 10 ft on my building. My doors are 12 ft by 12 ft and the walls are 14 ft. To me this gives waste as you have to cut and piece all of the trim pieces. And the installers put the seams at the bottom instead of at the top so it's right there for everyone to see the crappy seems and the peaced togeth... read more
The workers were polite, but the package was built wrong for the lay out I described to them. So I had to lend them my welder to fix the lay out. I didn't order the roll up doors with the building because I wanted insulated doors, but the fabrication didn't include the framing needed to install the door track, and the installers called the service Department, and they refused to finish the framing, so I had to do it. After the left I noticed alot of gaps at the roof eve, and the roof cap. The package the installers picked up... read more
Everything about the process was bad
Business response:
Hi David, we are sorry to hear you had a negative experience with the process. If you provide us with more details or context, we can offer some suggestions to help improve it. 🙂
I would have given this a 3.5 but that was not available. To Whom It concerns: I avoided posting this on public media, but, since you asked, here is my story of a journey that took 6.5 months to complete and actually ended costing me $17K, which I had to finance personally. I sent this off to Ariel in the engineering dept in Texas, and to the Yuba city outlet on October 10, 2023. None of the staff in Yuba city is to blame for what happened. I lay the entire burden of this journey on engineering and the story explains why.... read more
