I am a longtime client. Tom became the manager and I was pleased with his professionalism and courtesy. Sad to hear he is gone. I had logged into the system to pay my bill right before midnight and it clearly showed my normal/standard amount due. Attempted many times to process the payment and it wouldn't go through (even attempted different credit/debit cards--the funds were definitely there!). The rental process was simple and smooth. The grounds and units are always clean, which I appreciate. The one & only negative is the yearly rate increase. Initial rate/year one was about $45. First increase /year 2 was less then $10;however, second increase/year 3 increase will be $20. I'm considering getting a unit with another company for a cheaper rate. My rate will be $70-$80 for a small unit, if not the smallest unit they have.
Highly would recommend to anyone wanting to rent. Tom was extremely respectful and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and made the renting process so easy! The prices here are by far the best I’ve seen!
I love the location of the storages and how convenient it is to grab whatever I need, when I need it. The open and closing times are great. The only thing (not really a problem), is how awkward it is when leaving. I can never pull up to the passcode box correctly 😂 (probably a personal problem). They keep the area neat, clean and always communicate well.
I had nothing but a great experience with American Classic Storage (Newport News). The manager, Tom, was understanding and did everything possible to work with me through a difficult situation. He listened, helped problem solve, and was responsive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for storage space. The units were clean, everything was in excellent shape, and my stuff was safe during the time it was there.
