Worked with floor planner Mark Hancock to replace carpet in 5 bedrooms and lay engineered hardwood in the entryway and livingroom. Mark was fabulous to work with. I would recommend him to anyone looking to update your flooring needs and desires. Love the carpet and padding and also love the hardwood. Carpet installation was so awesome!!! The first flooring that we selected through our contractor was "recalled" at the last minute and we had to scramble to find something else or agree to take the original lot "without a warranty" (based on what happened later I'm now convinced this was an upsell scheme). We went in and selected a different (more expensive) Mohawk vinyl plank flooring. As recommended we purchased about 20% more than the floor area we needed to cover. I sit here looking at our laminate wood floor that was installed 3 years ago by AFC and was rated at a 50-year life and equivalent durability of oak hardwood and it looks like it has 15-20 years of wear on it. The laminate is coming off in areas and the corners and edges of the product are all showing advanced wear. This started about 6-8 months after it was installed and about 12 months after I reached out to AFC. We had our flooring installed 5 months ago and the price that they gave us in the contract went up four different times during the installation process. It ended up costing $1,000 more. And we just found that the planks were lifting up and buckling. And it has only been 5 months
Recently had new vinyl woodlike flooring installed in my house. John came out for the quote and provided excellent service. We got a few more quotes and AFC was the lowest. Flooring was installed quickly and flawlessly. I would use them again!
