Amerigas price gouges especially on their autofill program! They fill your tank conveniently in the most expensive months of the year. Their online system they suggest is so helpful and that you can use to do all your business is far from user friendly! You cannot get thru to a live person other than the published emergency line and when you address them with the your business you are passed elsewhere and you sit on hold for hours with no answer. just so shocked by the price of $499.00 per gal plus delivery cost & extra charges that came to a total of $705.10 for 128 gals of propane last Monday. we cannot afford to heat with this fuel anymore.
I called Tuesday May 2nd, and got the call center, who told me someone would be in touch. Called again on May 4, got the call center, they told me someone would reach out to set up an appointment. Called today May 9 after not hearing anything for a week. Got put on hold for 15 minutes and then disconnected. Stay local if you can, Amerigas is nothing but headaches and frustration.
So we moved out of town and were calling Amerigas to get propane service, tank set and installed lines, and it's been nothing but problems. First off you have animated calls which are frustrating. Then you have the worthless call center that is no help and is a huge hassle. I would recommend any other local service provider before I would go through this company. It's nothing but a headache.
Tried calling to find out if the store was open today, a holiday . On hold for 3 minutes only to be informed that they were too busy to answer . I decide to drive to the store where I noticed a sign stating propane tanks will no be refilled at that address . 10 mile drive for nothing. Wouldn’t it be nice if they posted no more refills at this site on their website?I also had a free refill card with 7 “smiley faces”. .I probably missed out on my free refill .
