First and foremost, if you have a high call volume that means you need more workers. I get some people don't want to work but there is no excuse for poor customer service. I waited over 40 minutes just to talk to a rep and was hung up on out of the blue. I didn't even get to speak to anyone!!! This is unacceptable! DON'T CHOOSE AMERIGAS. I have been (won't be soon) a customer for 15+ years, but they DO NOT care about their customers, or their loyalty to their company. Recently, I sent several emails regarding being charged for services Amerigas DID NOT provide (because talking to anyone on the phone is impossible, even when you do get through, you can't understand what they are saying), I am unable to get any response or communication back regarding this issue, but they have no problem sending me an OUTRAGEOUS bill in the mail. This is the absolute worst company I have ever interacted with. All I want is propane to be delivered and it’s impossible. They are worthless.
This company does not even deserve one star. After trying to order our propane, they tell us that there is a block on the account and to call back in 24 hours and the block will be lifted. I have no idea why there was a block, we always paid before we had delivery. We waited for three days because it was the weekend, then they tell us the hold is still there so call us again in 72 hours. So here we are today! I've been trying to get on the phone with an actual person for MONTHS. I keep getting the automated system, even after receiving a voice mail or being sent an email saying, "please try this number" or "please reply to this email"... I then get the same run around. The online billing activity is not intuitive.
