Tank rental price has increased 100% in 15 years. Yes, doubled. Prices are nowhere near competitive in comparison to other local providers. And to cancel the tank rental is cost prohibitive. Wish I'd stayed away from this company. I'd advise you to do the same.
AVOID AMERIGAS AT ALL COST!!! THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOME SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. I COULD NOT GET MY TANK FILLED AND RAN OUT OF PROPANE. LEAVING ME WITH NO HEAT OR STOVE IN THE WINTER. CALLING THEM IS IMPOSSIBLE. I WAITED OVER AN HOUR AND STILL TALKED TO NO ONE. I LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES AND THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I HAD TO GET ANOTHER TANK INSTALLED BY ANOTHER PROPANE COMPANY TO GET MY HEAT AND STOVE BACK ON.
AmeriGas technician was on time and polite. Asked if we had any questions and answered them with proficiency. The technician made sure our tank was filled to the amount we purchased and showed us on the tank the amount he filled it to. Very nice guy.
The absolute worst choice of a propane company. If you need assistance, get ready to spend countless hours with song playing while you wait for someone in another state to answer. The fun part is that they never do. If you manage to get someone on the line and a delivery scheduled, you will never know when it will show up because they never call you; however, you must be present for them to complete the service or it is rescheduled. AmeriGas fails its customer support team via poor web management… Poor staff support for delivery personnel and inadequate support to budgeting team resulting in inappropriate bills. Delivery personnel are excellent.
