I was experiencing some numbness in my leg, & had been referred to neurology. Dr alexiou went through a detailed intake, and then performed a thorough physical exam. This astounded me, as most doctors these days don’t want to examine a patient, they want a diagnostic test. He was very personable as he went through the steps of doing this, doing that. He was able to identify the nerve that was causing my issue, and explain what had happened and what i could do to stop aggravating it and hopefully allow it to heal. His explana... read more

I saw this doctor as a follow up for a stroke. He was wonderful, patient, and very caring. He acted like I was a member of his own family. Very knowledgeable and a great listener. All my questions were answered. Plus he took the initiative to reach out to my other providers on my behalf. Laurie J. Howell mi

He covered all that concerned us and added a little bit more. His disgnosis was not "good news" but we felt able to deal with things after the visit.

Awful bedside manner - Complete disregard for the core characteristics of dementia, asked me to describe my mother’s worst moments in front of her and gave her the letter our family had written to him for his eyes only. Heartbreaking consequences on top of a diagnosis there is no treatment for. Did not offer any follow up or even information for us to plan care.

I wish I could comment on a visit but provided the doctor was more concerned about paper work and not a potential Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) I may have suffered, the medical review board should review this person.

Initial visit, Dr Alexiou walked in said hello and contradicted results of an eight hour test with a neuropsychiatric test. When asked if he read the test results he said no. Gave directions and asked questions with impatience on responses from dementia patient. Told dementia patient with tremors affecting daily life and eating and drinking they should, “not let people talk you into taking medication.” Referring to her daughter, caregiver, advocate.

This doctor was an arrogant, belittling, condescending egomaniac. He spent two minutes reviewing my intake papers before dismissing me with an assessment of my complex, chronic medical condition with eye rolling and laughter. He even had the gall to ask how long it would take me to explain my symptoms. Poor excuse for a doctor.
