RecommendedWent there for my cat, who wasn’t having a major emergency but still couldn’t wait until Monday. The staff was great and super empathetic towards the customers who were having their pets go through a lot. Like car accidents and other super urgent things. It’s a bit more expensive, just like a people emergency room. But it’s comforting knowing if something happens at 2am or on the weekend, you can take your furry family member to people who will do their best to make them feel better.
I called ahead (from Muskegon) to let them know I was coming and why. As soon as I got there they too my granddog in to the back room and assessed him and gave him some medicine to ease his pain. Throughout the whole process, the crew was caring for this dog as if it was their own. They made sure that I was aware of everything that was being done and gave me options to assist in his care. I will ALWAYS recommend the practice at AEH for the care of your fur babies!
They were very compassionate and kind when we brought our family dog in, he had cancer and was suffering and they helped us care for him until the end.

Can’t say enough good things about AEH. My fiancé, dog, and I were in a pretty bad car accident. My pup stayed with them for 5 days. In some of the scariest moments of my life, they were there. Answering my many phone calls, questions, and reassuring me, and loving my pup like she’s there own. Every person I’ve talked to there has been so kind. They are great people and so good at what they do! AEH IS THE BEST THERE IS 💕
clean and caring. they listen to you and give you the best information on your pets condition they can. in the end it is your decision on the care you chose. they were very gentle with my dog, who was in pain.
The skillful care, attention, promptness and compassion was amazing! While our older dog succumbed to GDV, I know he received the best care possible for him at that time. Everyone was so thoughtful, knowledgeable and genuinely caring for the best outcome and helping our dog member of the family with his pain and comfort along the way. Very grateful to everyone, and especially Dr. Westerhof. We appreciate it.

I am THAT dog mama, my pups are my babies and I take their care so seriously. Sunday I came here for the 1st time with an emergency with my 13 month old mutt mix. My vet didnt have urgency after seeing him Thursday. I can say that after an overnight stay, Dolf passed the foreign object, recovered from his dehydration, and avoided surgery.
