You truly get what you pay for moving into here. The rent is cheap but at what cost. Bugs are everywhere, we moved into an apartment filled with food and things from previous tenants that failed to be cleaned up by the property, and the management is rude when handling issues. The one positive thing is that UGA busses come here. We had a cracked window for months and their solution was to put a wooden board over our entire window (mind you we pay extra for a lakeside view apartment), when work orders were put in maintenance ... read more
I lived here for 3 years and overall have only positive remarks to make. I was able to truly make my apartment into a home. Management was quick to respond to maintenance orders, however the quality of work and effort was questionable at times. For example, one of our toilets was never securely caulked despite numerous maintenance requests. Also, the couches that came with the apartment were in complete disrepair, and despite being told they would be replaced they never were. Apartments look nothing like the ones they show you on the tour. Maintenance is acceptable. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing when you move out. Amenities are good. Apartment complex is clean. Parking decent. Giant chess is cool.
My roommate and I have lived here for two leasing terms now, and it’s truly the best place to live in Athens. We’re in a two-bedroom standard—cosmetically it isn’t the “fancy” kitchen/bathroom setup (compared to the premium), but we made it our home and wouldn’t change a thing. We’ve constantly enjoyed the amenities (pool swims, summer afternoons outside, and plenty of pickleball), and we’ve had so much fun at all the events hosted at the clubhouse. While when we first moved in, we had experienced some pest problems however that was swiftly taken care of through our own efforts and the combined help from the Arches team. Our neighbors were extremely friendly and welcomed us to the complex within the first week. One of the neighbors, Kaylee, actually works in the front office and was very helpful with me and my roommate getting settled in.
