Absolutely stunning showroom and beautifully curated pieces to embrace the Marin and surrounding areas, with the greens, browns, and beiges complementing the local landscape. That is unfortunately where the beauty of the brand dies. Arhaus Corte Madera was one of the most frustrating furniture buying experiences I’ve had, especially for a brand that presents itself as luxury. One of our orders was entered incorrectly by the salesperson and was sent to their showroom instead of our home. This was entirely their mistake, yet we were the ones left dealing with the consequences. We had to pay an additional $300 and wait another month just to get it shipped to the correct location. I recently purchased a rug from Arhaus and unfortunately noticed a thin gray line running the full length of the rug that appears to be a weaving or material inconsistency. Because part of the rug was placed under the couch during delivery, I didn’t notice it right away. Once I moved the rug and could see the entire surface, the line was clearly visible. Darnell and the interior designer took amazing care of me. They went above and beyond to find out what I was looking for, to recommend the right products, not to push things I didn’t really want. I felt like they got in tune with me and did an excellent job tailoring their recommendations to my needs. I would highly recommend both of them!
After spending 30 minutes on a sofa making sure it’s comfortable before buying, a member of the staff comes to me and says bluntly: “hey man, it’s time to leave the store”. I never felt so devalued. FWIW the sofa was comfortable (coburn recliner) and I did want to buy it. Not anymore unfortunately :(
