If I could choose zero stars I would! My eye specialist retired 5 years ago and he sold his book of business to AES. I tried to schedule an appointment and used the call back feature which wasnt an issue. What turned into an issue is the girl who called back was incredibly rude. I asked to speak to someone else and she hung up on me. I called again this time tried to stay in the queue, but their system doesn't allow that. I had to choose a call back. The next girl who called me back told me she was having problems hearing me... read more

The quality of care is incredibly poor. I've been waiting two months to get a medication for dry eye disorder that is covered by my insurance company. I was told a prior authorization request was sent to my insurance company, only to learn today they've received nothing. Calls to Dr. Janousek's team and voicemails to the office are ignored. It really feels like patient abandonment. I was pressured to schedule an evaluation for cataract surgery with them, and I still need that, but don't trust them to deliver good care. I jus... read more

Unfortunately, after six months I am still experiencing dry and painful eyes after having cataract surgery. I went the extra mile to approve the expensive laser cataract surgery because Dr. Goldman said it would be the best, but I don't know if something went wrong during my surgery. Dr. Goldman only said my eyes were much deeper set than he had expected and referred me to another doctor in the same practice, Dr. Janousek, who prescribed an additional $140 worth of eye drops, which Cigna, my health insurance would not appr... read more

Front staff and assistants were very courteous and attentive. Dr. Romanoff, however, had horrible patient interaction. He claimed to be an expert in my condition but failed to give me an adequate plan. He badmouthed my previous eye doctor and current physician and made me feel guilty for other non-related health decisions. I felt he did not listen to me and was very condescending. My condition worsened and I found a different clinic for my care.

The prescription I was given was way off and they refuse to give me a free exam because it was 9 mo after written. The eyeglass people will accept a prescription up to 12mo old. So, as a result I either pay the eyeglass people a fee for an exam or pay AZ Eye Specialists again but I can't use my insurance til next year now so I have to pay to get glasses. My old Eye Specialist was never this callous about it, but unfortunately he sold his practice to AZ Eye Specialists. Lesson learned....going elsewhere next year.
